Has anybody tried to alter the network devices to boost the signal? Rose and I were discussing it when everybody was split up between the two cities - I figured that if you took them apart and linked the transmitters, the signal might be stronger, but the problem is, of course, getting multiple devices. I'm not sure how long it takes for the City to provide you with a new one if you destroy the old one. It's too bad that you can't salvage the devices others leave behind, hmm?

And is it possible to make them do other things? I'm not sure what other functions they could add, but I'm sure there's something that could be done. I think Rose mentioned hers having a tracker, yeah? Seems like that sort of thing might come in handy.

Tosh. Good to meet you. I'm originally from Chicago, born and raised. But in more recent years I live in the D.C. area. Work out of Quantico, Virginia.

Ah, so Earth, then. I was born in London, then I moved to Osaka when I was two, and returned to England when I was twelve. I've been living and working in Cardiff for five years now - I moved there when I got a job offer.

Sounds like you've done a lot of traveling. You like Cardiff? I've never been over there.

I like London better, but I've grown used to Cardiff. It's quite a lot smaller, and it has a certain charm that London doesn't. Never did learn how to speak Welsh, though - not that that's really a problem or anything.

Yeah, speaking Welsh is probably not a requirement over there. I think as an adult it becomes more difficult to learn a new language. Not impossible, just a little harder. I speak a little Spanish, not much. English and ghetto. [He smirks a bit, cause the ghetto part is a joke more than anything. Doesn't make it any less true though.]

I grew up speaking both English and Japanese - my parents insisted on it. We moved to Japan for my father's job, but they expected we'd be moving back to England eventually. I don't really know any other languages, though I know a handful of phrases in Welsh, and the odd word from a few others.

What do you do for work or to keep yourself busy, Tosh?
