[ When the device knocks on it's on its side, providing first a view of the bubble and the sharp of a knee, then there's some snuffling noises thanks to the corgi trying to...eat it - the device that is - and some sea-sick worthy footage before there's Arthur's voice, ]

Pancake, no! Not food. Bad. Probably lethal. Give me that...


[ Grabbing for the device, he gets it in hand and sighs, arching a brow at the camera seeing it's on, then, bored or whatever, he gives a once-around pan of his environment for the day, his voice equal parts resigned to his 24 hour fate and lazily annoyed. ]

Wonder who came up with this one.

[ Arthur likes his personal space. Really, he does. But...this is going a bit far even for him.

The bubble is sizable - enough so (six feet in diameter give or take) that he hasn't in fact left his room today, which he might not have anyway, not particularly interested in filling the parallel role of hamster-on-wheel. After he turns once in a full circle, he shuts the device off, the last thing transmitted being a slight mumble of, ] Could be worse.

[ She's not smiling, but gives off the impression of it, regardless, if only for a moment. ] It is good to second guess knowledge. It is rarely absolute.

Even more reason to question it, [ he laughs slightly though how much he's joking is hard to tell, then he pauses.

Wow. Everyone's bubble-wrapped today. Sort of bubble-wrapped, anyway. Seemed the best way to describe it. It was either that or something about hamster ball.

[ There's a chuckle for that, a twitch of a smile. Bubble wrapped. 8( He actually thinks that's kind of funny. Then he clears his throat, pauses. ]

Hamster ball's more what it feels like. At least they let you get things.

[ Arthur in a hamster ball without his daily doses of coffee would be an entirely different force to contend with after all... ]

[She feels like making Arthur smile, even a little bit, is some kind of Epic Win. So he gets a small one in return.]

Yeah. You just can't be handed anything which I'm sure works for some. It's driving me nuts, though and I really wanted to go to work.

Hopefully it's just the 24 hour kind. [ Charlie's smile in fact elicits a broader one from Arthur, sort of a commiserating sense about it but genuine at that. ]

[ LOOK PANCAKE, A DISTRACTION.

And by that, I mean Ariadne has just come through the door, home from work. ]

[ Pancake having been let in again, or performed dog-magic of some kind and learned to walk through sliding glass, has been trying to get in to the bubble in the last few minutes, so when Ariadne appears it's really a relief. Pancake doesn't need a concussion and Arthur is getting tired of trying to roll the bubble away without knocking things over - that vase for example. ]

How was work?

[ He asks....as he rolls the bubble to the left a little, slightly back from the corgi whose attention is now on the architect. ]

[ Crouching down to pet the dog, ruffling his ears, Ariadne does a good job at not laughing at Arthur's current predicament. To be fair, Pancake is a good distraction in his own right, all short legs and excited wriggling. ]

Well, we had to keep everyone in a bubble away from the equipment; if they were injured somehow, no one would be able to help them. There was some spilled coffee in the cafe, but nothing too serious.

[ Pancake gets another scratch behind the ears before Ariadne shrugs off her messenger bag, slinging it over a chair. ]

How's... [ Hand gesture toward the bubble. ]

[ Listening, Arthur finally sits down, where before he'd been vaguely navigating his bubble as best he could to get Pancake to stay near the shining globe rather than anywhere near the vase Eames seems keen on keeping whole. He can tell Ariadne's trying not to laugh, and his brow quirks both in mild consternation and understanding amusement himself, in spite of the inconvenience.

Sitting inside the bubble, legs crossed under him, he rests his wrists on his ankles, hands loosely folded. ]

Confining, if you can believe it. [ He replies dryly and then adds, ] But harmless so far.

[ Half the time he expects the seemingly benign curses to end in explosions or the like at the last second. ]
