[ This is probably the only time Yusuf will use his device for its intended purpose- barring curses that make him make an arse of himself over the network. Thankfully, it is not his turn. We'll just leave that to Rhada the cat.

It would appear that Yusuf is trying to show the network the back of their couch until he angles it toward the floor and there is Rhada, playing with a hat like it was brought into the house solely for her enjoyment. ]



[ Yusuf's laughter can be heard in the background as Rhada gets the fabulous idea to try and eat the hat. ]



You my dear, are going to be in trouble when Arthur gets back. [ Surprisingly, Rhada seems to recognize that name ( The One Who Tried To Bathe Me ) and releases the hat to flop over and give Yusuf a look. ]

[ Flop over, you say? Well, that just means Biscuit can come racing over from where he's been watching around the corner to attempt to flop on Rhada's belly.

[ Were anyone to venture a hand on Rhada's paunchy little belly, they would be introduced to sixteen rather sharp little claws - but because this is Biscuit, Rhada only wraps her arms around the kitten ( quickly outgrowing that classification ) and rolls them both over. Directly onto the hat.

There is a moment of panic - where did the hat go!

Yusuf is trying to hold his laughter in; he will be lucky if he doesn't cry at this rate. ]

[ Biscuit will always be a kitten to Ariadne, no matter quite how large the orange feline grows (though she does hope he won't get quite as round as Rhada). Biscuit squirms in the older cat's arms before deciding the best course of action to soothe her over the hat's "disappearance" is to lick her face.

While they're distracted, Ariadne comes closer, still giggling. ]

No, it would mat my curls down. [ Yusuf pats his curls, a bouncy afterthought. ] Not the look I usually go for, if I can avoid it.

I think there are hats that would flatter you.

[ That is... a strange inflection to have for someone who wasn't actually there to witness it. But, Yusuf isn't used to small children, so perhaps this is just the way they speak. ]

Probably not, Rhada mostly does what she wants. However, she does recognize tone, which I assume is a byproduct of my warning her to get away from chemicals she should not be nosing around in.

[ For all that her expression was bland and neutral until now, just as her tone of voice, she smiles now, there and gone again, though a certain softness remains in her voice that wasn't there before. ] She's lovely.
