[ The image on the screen is off a very wet, very smiley looking bloke. His face is youthful, hair flattened down by the water running off his scalp. Landed in the fountain then, unfortunate. ]

Right, oi. I hadn't even gotten into my fa-la-la's yet, there's no reason to send me swimming. [ Fishing in his pocket for a slim, silver device. He pulls a face, features twisting as he shakes the water out of it. ] All right dear, yes, I'm terribly sorry, but if we could hurry this along. [ It takes a minute, buzzing faintly before he wipes it on his jacket, the light finally catching. It makes the screen wobble, the way he shakes his other arm around, scanning the sky. ] Ooh, now that's interesting. I like interesting. Unless it's a smell in the fridge. Who knew stuff could go off?

A-ha! Oh, now that is good, that's wonderful, that's just - [ Scrambling out of the fountain, the device tilted down to the ground first before his face swims into view. ] Calling all Ponds, calling all Ponds, come in Ponds. This is your Doctor speaking. Get here in five minutes or I'm going exploring. [ Grinning. ] Without you, Amelia.

Yeah, but the taste-- !

[ They reach the apartment and Amy opens the door for them. It still comes as a shock that it's empty, that Rory isn't there anymore, though it's muted now, a little, by the fact that Eleven is here. ]

So, uh-- [ she should tell him, she should... just blurt it out, apparently: ] Rory used to be here. He's -- he's gone now, has been for a bit. But he was here before. Don't know if he'll come back, no idea how this whole coming here works.

[ Oh. He notices the shift in her expression the minute they enter the flat, could say a great many number of things, but instead he just slings an arm over her shoulder and gives a squeeze. ]

Oh Pond, Rory won't stay away for long. You're like, extra elasticy bands, you two, always snapping back together.

[ Amy leans into him. ] Yeah?

Yeah, 'course. So, fish fingers and custard, then. C'mon, mister, lemme show you the kitchen.

[ Hopping on her kitchen counter. Yes, he looks five. ] So. Custard.

You're terrible. [ and she's missed you. She starts on the custard. And the fish fingers. ]

So what do you know of this place, already?

There's a rampaging elephant. And more than one of me, which is interesting. Maybe. Sort of. Possibly.

[ Clearly preening because he is her favourite, which is ridiculous, but there you go. ]

No, go on, tell me about the curses. They don't sound all that brilliant. Curse never does. It's all look at this shiny thing, oh dear, your face is melting.

Not sure if there's one with melting faces but there could be. They're all sorts of random stuff, sometimes just annoying and sometimes pretty dangerous. Sometimes they mess with your head, or your body, or something.

There's a guide to this place, y'know.

[ A sidelong glance. ] Or we could just find out for ourselves. Investigate.

Why would I want to read a guide? Boring.
