[She ducks her head with a soft laugh.]

You're right, you know. And really, I...it's funny, in a way, because I just thought to myself that if this really is to be one of the best days of my life, it's got quite a bit of competition for that distinction. Anyone so lucky as to be able to say something like that...really, it's just silly to worry, isn't it.

There're sillier worries.

[Penny is going to start crying any--no, no she isn't. There will be no crying.]

All it really means is that you'll always have a whole bunch of amazing days to remember.

I suppose it's really just nerves over all those doors, you know. And...knowing that perhaps we'll have to leave, soon enough. It makes it all feel a bit rushed, hurrying toward being happy so we'll have a little time to enjoy it before...

There aren't rules about where you have to leave to. Aren't you and Cain thinking about going to the same place?

We were, for a while. But...it's just, there's something he has to do, and it's not something I ought to be there for, and...

[You know, this was so much easier when they were saying it to each other, but now it just sounds complicated.]

But you two love each other. I can't imagine--I mean, love like this doesn't just happen every day, you know?

Well, no, but...I can't imagine most people plan for the sort of love that starts in a City between the worlds, do they?

It'll be all right, Penny. If there's one door between the worlds, there must be another. And we'll find it, I'm sure of it.

No, probably not, just... there should be happy endings out there. There just need to be times when everything works out and everyone falls in love and it's okay.

Well, if all goes as it ought, that's what we'll have in a few hours, anyway.

Yeah. [And hopefully it'll last more than a couple of days.] I'm really, really happy for you and Cain. You two deserve this... a nice wedding, even if it's kind of last-minute.

I'm so glad you'll be there, Penny. Your flowers are with the others at the Palace--I suppose it's silly to say not to let me forget to give them to you, of course, but you'll have them soon enough, anyway.
