[Laruna isn't looking for family. Her brother has arrived as soon as possible... though not through the door. Never by the door...
But speaking of the door that's where they are.
Laruna is sitting a little bit away from it as her brother inspects it. He's walking around with his arms behind his back before occasionally poking at it. He is the interdemensional hopping expert after all.
Eventually he wanders back, letting her ask.]
Well?
[He hesitates.]
Likely.
Oh. I see. So... now what?
Dunno. It's not up to me.

Laruna, hello. [He frowns at her brother. He's seen him around on days like this, but names are not his forte.] Hello, Laruna's brother.

[She smiles brightly at seeing him.]
This is my brother, Alec. I don't think you've ever been introduced. Alec this is Pavel.
[There is a moment of recognition/fan boy glee in Alec's eyes when he sees Chekov, but he hides it quickly. He wanders over from the door and offers a hand. He's dressed in a rather missmatched manner, jeans and a t-shirt with a bright blue coat and a sword. And sort of scruffy looking.]
Hello. Lar's told me about you.
[Which is true.]
Checking out the door?

[Chekov wouldn't know fan boy glee if it walked right up to him, so no worries there. He shakes Alec's hand.]
Laruna has mentioned you, as well.
[And, to Laruna] Attempting to, yes. I can make no sense of these readings and our overseers are not eager to have us inspecting their work..

And I'm sure all horrible things, too.
[But he's cheerful as he says it.]
What do they say? Anything or just gibberish?

[Or that's what he remembers. Sometimes the science is all that sinks in.]
So far, I have only learned that they are able to go in and out and are still working to make it so the rest of us can do the same. They are very vague.

This is what you tell people about me?
It's true. Also that you're annoying. [She shrugs.]
[After giving a hearty, slightly over dramatic sigh, he does nod.]
That I do. [He'll leave commenting about the door unless asked. He's not sure exactly how much he's allowed to tell, after all.]
I think I saw someone run into it that wasn't one of them.

[At the mention of someone entering the door, however, Chekov becomes very serious.]
Someone entered the door? I hope that that went well for them.

[Laruna has hit her brother before eyerolling at Chekov]
I hope so too. It seems like they were very desperate to get out of here.
