Hey, I found a building! Or part of one, at least.

[Said cheerfully, as if this discovery were something amazing worth broadcasting to the world.]

I wonder if there's anything useful in here...or treasure, that'd be fun.

[A hoarse chuckle--he ran out of water today. There's the tap tap tap of someone climbing a flight of ruined stairs, the whoosh of a gust of wind...]

Wow, the ceiling's totally gone. And that wall, too...[Obviously this means he should move closer to inspect the nonexistent wall.] Heh, I think this is as high up as the classroom back at the libra--

[He's interrupted by the flapping sound of some sort of flying creature (a buzzard, maybe) going right past his head--followed by the sound of a certain someone losing his balance and falling off the building.

[ sort of a choked laugh. this is how bad things have gotten: he is laughing at Elmer's lines. ]

That wasn't what I was thinking! Aren't—injured people supposed to stay awake 'til they get to a doctor? Or something like that.

I wouldn't know, I haven't been to a doctor before.

[kazu's laughter makes him smile a little more. definitely giving up on laughing himself, though. for now.]

Try bringing water instead of doctors! Much more helpful.

Well I fell from the second floor....so about that tall.

[your comment is making him laugh and his laughter is making him cough]

[y'know what, he's sitting up again. let's see if we can snap this leg back in place or something...]

[ Elmer may hear a rush of people as Kazu blitzes through to get to whatever supplies they still have. WATER BOTTLE GET. ]

Hooray, my hero..!

[Said quietly because wow his throat.]

[ heeeeey, he didn't turn his volume down. :|a ]

[oh does he have to speak louder--please excuse the hoarseness, at least he has no hooves yet.]

... a little longer, okay? Two more...

[ no, go back to being quiet now. AS LONG AS HE ISN'T DYING. ]

[ eventually Kazu does, in fact, stumble upon the right building. it's a wrecked city by now—and he hates the slowness of traveling through it. every step like stones falling. but at least he's here. he puts on an extra burst of speed once he actually spots the figure in the sand—

—and the fact that it's sitting up. and poking at its leg. ]

[elmer looks up at the familiar voice, waving a bit before--falling back onto the sand.]

....trying to fix my leg?

[ no, don't you cheat. HE SAW YOU SITTING UP. ]

Legs don't just fix like tha—! ... tch. [ a little out of breath, he gives up on the lecture and jogs up to dangle a bottle of water just within Elmer's reach. One problem at a time. ] Here.

[he's already ripped up his jacket in an attempt to bandage the thing, let him cheat some more--ooohh water. Elmer reaches out for the bottle and proceeds to attempt that mysterious martial art called "drinking while lying down."

...maybe he should sit back up again.]
