accidental video
[The video clicks on with Laruna sitting on the floor. She has some small braziers going on the coffee table with pots on them. The pots are bubbling and blooping different colored substances. Frowning she lifts up a string covered in bluish wax and sighs.]
No. No. This isn't right at all. The wax here is all wrong. It's never going to be done in time...
[The would be candle gets flung across the room and she picks up another string to try again.]

Re: video;
Chekov!
I'm making candles. It's almost the longest night from what I can tell on the calenders around here.
video;
Ah, the winter solstice! Do you celebrate it where you are from? ...With candles?
Re: video;
We... don't celebrate the solstice so much as what happens because of it? It's the night when the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead is thin and spirits can come through. The candles are to help the spirits of people you love find their way to you.
video;
Chekov becomes more solemn, trained as he is to be respectful of other beliefs, particularly when they involve the dead. Who knows, maybe spirits really will find Laruna. It's the City. Stranger things have happened.]
Have you done this before in the City?
Re: video;
No. It's the first time I've been here at this time. But that's not a reason not to do it.

Action
Re: Action
Jimmy?
Re: Action
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
[Oh yeah, he's going for old-school love poetry. This should be fun.]
Re: Action
Re: Action
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate...
[By the way? He's reciting these from memory. Be impressed.]

[She sounds annoyed, mostly because she has no idea who this guy is and while she knows the candle is terrible it certainly wasn't pathetic.]
Re: audio;
Re: audio;
The candles? No. They're definitely not gifts.
[She's reluctant to share what she told the others about them. She just doesn't like this guy's voice. Which is a new standard for her... considering she has low standards (at least according to her brothers.)]
As for the spat of temper. I've been working on these all day and they're not coming out. There's something wrong with the wax.
Re: audio; <3 I got it
[ The tone is surprisingly unmocking in the question, though still oily with knowing. ]
