[Ken's not typically happy to begin with, but he looks far worse off than usual right now. And, why, yes! That's sand you see behind him. Totally left Glass City for Sand City, but he has no plans to talk about THAT. And he has yet to see Rita's latest post.]

And - [He turns to his side and speaks to someone(?) off screen.] You should back away so they can see you clearly.

[Ken turns the camera and you get this face on screen.]

It seems he - [PAUSE.] Are you a he? [No response, of course.] Well, this creature was trying to get into the desert, so I brought him with me. I think he has a companion in here he was trying to reach, to be that desperate.

[Ken is back in the frame.] So we're looking for any of the people I mentioned before, or anyone else I know, and this guy's companion. [Looks at Ba'ul again.] If he has one.

If not...I don't know what I'm going to do with him. Though he's very useful, and can fly.

[He's a little relieved at first.]

[Then he flinches back and looks very apologetic.]

I'm sorry.... But I couldn't sit there anymore and just watch through static filled entries. Not after Rita-san died.

Ken. You could get hurt. And I'm sorry to hear someone died. I really am, but you're taking too big a risk.

[She already knows Ba'ul is out there, and that someone had let him come with them when they were leaving... but she's a little surprised to see exactly who that was.]

That's Ba'ul. [She smiles.] And yes, he's a he. I'm the one you're looking for.

Ken. I'm here.

[The video's clear this time; even if she couldn't see the sand, it'd be enough of an indication that he's in the desert.]

[Looks relieved and smiles a little, but also a little surprised.]

Ba'ul, then. I didn't know what to do when he couldn't speak and explain things to me. Would you like him to return to you now? I can take him wherever you are.

[It's a little hard to believe right now that she contacted him. He stares, confused, for a moment.]

Yeah--I'm not injured now.

[Not anymore. He must've been pretty worried...But as for his question-]

[Maybe, after he bothered to FIND IT, he should have read the City guide! He will, as soon as things calm down.]

[A pause, she's arguing with someone for a moment, a whole lot of 'i got this. no you're staying h-- god damn it okay fine' type stuff with whoever she's arguing with.]

[Ken puts a hand gently on the rather massive, colorful whale-looking creature that can barely be seen in the device screen any longer.]

He needs to get back to Judith-san, first.

We'll figure something out. I promise.

[No wonder he was so torn up, she thinks. She does remember hearing him, even if she wasn't able to answer.]

It was... [She shakes her head. Awful, definitely. She doesn't really want to talk about it.] I'm on my way to the safe zone with someone. What about you? Shouldn't you have stayed there?

Good. Because I'm sure they miss each other. He just stayed right there outside the barrier, trying to get in, who knows for how long.

[He's flat out leaning on Ba'ul now, and can't bear to keep something that reminds him so much of a Digimon away from someone he knows.]

Maybe I should've...but I couldn't just do that. Not with everyone else over here.

So even though you got to come back, that doesn't take away any pain or what else you endured. [See? He's validated to be concerned.]
