My father won't try and destroy the world. That's not what he does. He takes care of the souls of people after they've died.

He... it's what he is. I don't think he can like or dislike it. It'd be like liking or disliking your ability to exist.

Well... I don't always like being one of the Dragon Guardians. Being immortal sounds awesome at first, until you realize that it means watching all those you love grow old and die.

Oh, I know. I worry about that all the time, especially since I got married. But I know quite a few other gods so it's not completely horrible.

Well... there's four of us and we used to work with the Dragonmaster to guard the Goddess, Althena. But she decided to give her power to the humans of the world, so now we guard the people.

[He gets a sad look on his face and wrings his wedding ring absently.]

I'm not sure if I should be sorry or not. I've been told it's not the best to be here, but I know what it's like to be unable to see the ones you love the most.
