[The image on the screen shows the (Second) Doctor in the library, scanning some titles on the shelves. He pulls out a book and scans through all the pages.]

Not the most original escape plan. Still, it does work for the plot. I wonder if anyone could recommend a good title.

[Zoe approaches completely by accident as she's found herself here without no explanation. Upon seeing the Doctor, she walks behind him and taps him on the shoulder.]

Anything interesting, Doctor?

Er, not really. Nothing helpful at least.

[Thinks she's a figment of his imagination.]

[She smiles and then turns to one of the shelves studying the various titles.]

[Decides to humor himself. Even if it is a figment, it fills in the lonely gaps since he's been in the city.]

I think I was but I believe I may have forgotten. Still lovely to see you.

[ He stays back in the shadows between the shelves for as long as he dares, questioning whether or not he should approach. He's thought about how he might handle one of these 'reunions', and come to the conclusion that avoiding them entirely was probably the best bet. Better for everyone that way. But here he is, and here he is, and two Doctors are still better than one, and one of these Doctors is still a better man than him.

At last he edges into the light, still keeping his distance. ]

It's been a long time since I had that face.

Yep. [ He's a man who says 'yep', now. ] It's the ears isn't it?

[ Not for a second does he smile, despite the self-deprecating joke. He steps forward, very carefully. ]

A long, long time. How did I ever get along with that hair. Still, it could be worse. It could be curly.

[Stares at the ears while absently touching his own.]

I don't suppose you have any idea how you ended up here either, would you? No, I'd imagine you wouldn't. Neither does the thin one.

Not the slightest. Which one is the thin one?

[ It doesn't sound like a definition he'd use for any of his past incarnations. Leeks, recorders, scarf and jelly beans, the one with the technicolor dress coat--useful definitions. Of course, the further along he went, the less it seemed to matter. Lives blurred into lives, companions coming and going, but never forgotten. ]

[Laruna's been dragging her rather reluctant brother through the library in an effort to keep him out of trouble. When she spots the Doctor she drags him over. The brother is definitely similar looking enough to tell they're related, but unlike his sister, he has pointy ears like an elf.]

Doctor! Hello! What are you looking for?

Oh, hello Laruna! I'm just looking for any book that'll give me more insight to this City. I'm not having much luck. How are you?

[He looks down at her brother.]

I'm just trying to keep my brother out of trouble. Alec, this is the Doctor. He's a traveler like you are. Except better at it.

[Giving the Doctor a bit of a wan, my sister just stomped on my foot but I'm not going to say anything about it smile, Alec nods.]

[She looks up at the books around them and then back at the Doctor.]

Do you think they'd actually have a book about the City here?

[What looks like a disheveled Rose sits on one of the reading tables observing him.]

Oh look at you burning that midnight oil aren't we?

[Sees the figure and recognizes her, but something seems off.]

Rose?

[Face looks grim.]

Who are you?

[She taps her chin with her index finger in thought.]

Rose...Rose...I suppose I am or will be. It's sort of muddled.

[She hops down and her eyes shimmer in a golden light. She grins.]

So young and clever.

[Backs away and bumps against a shelf.]

Er...thank you. I think.

[Starts wringing his hands.]

[She approaches and then stops.]

Don't tell me you're afraid of the big bad wolf, Doctor.

I...What exactly is that supposed to mean? Is that what you're called?
