Hello, everyone! It's so very nice to see all of you again. Goodness, we've been at this rather a number of times by now, haven't we? A few times a year, at least--once per season, I think, it used to be for the longest time--and we're already a fair few months into my sixth year by now, so that's quite a lot of visits! But I'm certainly glad for them; it's always nice to see everyone.

If you'd like to come down to the Blue Light while you're here to visit, we're having specials on food and drink for visitors, and dancing and music and merriment besides. And, er, I'm still not very good with making drinks, but I'll be trying my hand at it at the bar, so if you should be looking for me, that's where you've the best chance of finding me! Oh, and--

Er, as I was saying, Alexander's come to call today, so you might see him about, as well! So please do come down; it'd be so very nice to see you.

As per usual, she's canonically from just after the end of Perils of Rosella, and Alexander is currently from just after the end of Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder. She glances over her shoulder and glares.]

Though I suppose there's always the chance of coincidence, unless you're next about to tell me that your name is Princess Rosella.

She's my sister, uh, Princess Rosella. We're twins. Siblings.

[A second face joins Laruna's in the screen. She tries to shove him away but he sticks.]

No, her name is not Rosella. It's Laruna. And I prefer going by Alec, not Alexander.

Oh, hello! I'm terribly sorry; I do hope you'll forgive me, but I needed something off one of the high shelves and couldn't quite reach it, so Alexander went to fetch it for me.

[Nice save, Rosella.]

We're from the same place, though--we are twins, after all! It's a kingdom called Daventry; I'm afraid not many people have ever heard of it, it seems.

Have you! My goodness, what a pleasant surprise! It's a rather rare thing, as I mentioned, to find someone familiar with it.

It was quite nice, if I recall. The rules of magic were a bit... odd though.

[Because really, what sort of world would throwing a bridle on a snake make sense?]

Do you think so? They've always seemed to make sense to me--but of course, I'm hardly the magician in the family, so.

Oh, some of it does. Bu then you get sort of... well... weird logic things. Maybe that's not exactly magic though.

Oh, no, it's quite all right! I just, um. Well, it wouldn't be the first time I've heard something of the sort, I suppose you might say.

[A bit abruptly, Troy perches on a barstool in front of Rosella, arms crossed on the surface of it.]

I always just have whatever the beautiful bartender recommends.

Oh, well, let's see, then! Um...have you thought of trying one of our candy drinks? They're made to taste like things like caramel apples and candy canes and gumdrops and so on. I'm really rather fond of them!

[fifty_eggs]

Caramel apple. [And after a moment, because being charming is hard work, a little smile and] Please and thank you.

[Justin's just going to be brooding over at a corner table. You know, like he does. He should probably be hanging out with Neil and Todd, but the impermanence of this visit and the inevitable return to nothingness are bothering him.

Really, it's awfully busy in here, and the last time he was in a tavern, he was a literal fly on the wall, so...]

[It takes Justin a moment to remember how to reply. These long lapses of deadness are killing what social skills he had scrapped together.]

It's good for my sister, though, so I can't rightfully complain.

[The bustle is inescapable, but there is alcohol in here. Also low lighting. Low lighting is good for brooding.]

[He reaches up and rakes a hand through his dark hair, almost sheepishly.]

I'm told when we're side by side the family resemblance is unmistakable.
