Video/Action
[He's hoping, somehow, that someone'll show up that he wants to see. In the meantime, he's keeping himself busy, getting the casino cleaned up and ready to be opened at five. That gives him a chance to pause and address the video, though.]
The majority of you have probably already been welcomed to the City. Those that haven't, well, if you need a drink and some gambling to keep you entertained, I'd suggest coming on down to my casino. It's called Lucky's, you can't miss it, and maybe we'll offer drinks specials tonight, just because people need something to deal with being stuck in a strange city for a weekend.
[A long pause as he looks away from the camera for a moment, and then back.]
And if I know you... from home... it'd be nice if you'd drop by.

[Working is fun. Really. And yes, he's just leeeeeaning into that hand a little, don't mind him.]
I just didn't think it was a good business practice to sleep with all my employees.
[He somehow doubts that would stop Charlie.]

[The hand settles of the seem of Meyer's trousers. Not moving yet, just a steady, heavy weight.]

[He did a lot of heroin with Al, okay? Shhh. Charlie, you're driving him crazy here -- that's why he's trying to press against his hand even more.]
One of them was blonde, one of them was brunette, both of them were tall and had a lot of glitter all over them. It didn't come off the floor for months.

[What? he doesn't know what kind of strippers they got...]
no subject
[He's laughing now, because really?]
They did have one stripper at the party that wasn't a broad. That was...
[He shakes his head. He may be standing awfully close to a guy, whose hand happens to be on his thigh, but male strippers just don't do it for him.]
Unexpected and unwanted, mostly.
Aw what a sweet moment going on here
The keys jangle momentarily before it becomes clear that the door is already unlocked. The latch gives way softly, then all subtlety is cast to the wind when a voice calls out into the darkness loudly. ]
Who's in here?
oh my god, Al, your fucking timing
What's it to yous?
Re: Fffff hahaha
You're early.

A short nod is given in Charlie's direction. ]
Should I have been late?
no subject
[Did you miss this little shit, Al, he missed you.]
Al.
no subject
I'm just not used to you being early. It's something new.
no subject
You and me both then.
[ ...Ah, right. Meyer's in on the Italian thing now, as he has discovered. No matter. He'll just set down his keys and step into his rightfully employed territory behind the bar. ]
You putting him to work or what?
no subject
no subject
[It totally is. But admitting that would just be sappy.]
no subject
[ Yeah, he's not refilling your drink anytime soon, Charlie. ]
no subject
[Fine, he'll just pour himself another shot, then.]
no subject
I'd ask if we could all manage to get along, but that's appearing less and less likely.
no subject
[ It's a final statement. For now he can keep things civil in respect of the existing business arrangement. Besides, everyone knows Luciano is all talk. A house cat, really. ]
You two catching up in here or what?
no subject
no subject
Yeah, we do. And I might not be around as much this weekend as I normally am.
[That's directed at Al. To be fair, he's normally around all the time, even when the casino isn't open.]
I'm sure you can handle it.

[ There's some smugness there. He might not own the place, but he knows enough to keep the ship afloat. That's better than any free ride or entitlement.
All manners of pride aside (as far aside as they'll go anyway), he can't shake the feeling of something he's missing or being shut out on. Loyalties run deep and old business partners, however temporary their presence may be, can be problematic. ]
I gotta say, you don't look too happy to see each other. Somebody croak back home or what?
no subject
Naw. Everything's going just fucking great.
[To be fair, Charlie's in a bad mood more often than not.]
