Now that I've had a chance to see a bit of the place and... well, to be honest, to realize that I'm probably not leaving anytime soon, I was wondering a couple of things.
Like, where I might get my hands on some tools. Things like screwdrivers and pliers and soldering irons, that sort of thing. Not so much the hammers and saws sort of tools. And also maybe where I could get a really perfect cup of coffee? The sort of coffee made by a person who takes a lot of pride in it?
Was also wondering if there's anyone here who has experience in tracking and fighting things. Unusual things.

You seem to know a lot about the City. So I was thinking, is there any chance you know where I could get a gun?

And try the Jasmine Dragon. They take a lot of pride in everything they do. It's a pretty neat coffee and tea house.
video: (hello roomie!)
Oh, that sounds intriguing. I'll give them a try, thanks. It's been a long time since I had to adjust to a new place all by myself.
video: (i hope for amazing cr between them)
And yeah, try the Dragon. Especially the pie jars. They're damn creative.
video: (yes me too!)

[Yes, his apartment rather than the casino. He'd rather not advertise the fact that he has guns for sale.]

Fighting unusual things is my day job back home.
[Well, they're not unusual back home. They're just unusual in a lot of other worlds he's learned.

Re: Video
Rogue necromancers, gods, dragons, undead of various sorts, fair folk... you name it, I've probably dealt with it.
[Except aliens.]

The coffee maker in the kitchen is the one Ianto picked out while he was here. I don't drink coffe, so I have no idea how to work it, but the manual must be around somewhere.

The coffee maker, though, that I'll have a look at. Without Ianto, it won't taste nearly the same, but it'll be convenient at least.

Enjoy the coffeemaker then. I'm a hot chocolate person myself, but I know how particular he was.

I might be able to help with the toolkit. By which I mean, I can point you to a couple of places in town.

As for dealing with unusual things? That's sort of... a hobby of mine.
no subject
Yeah? Is it a hobby you can talk about?
no subject
I can talk about it, but probably best not to say too much over the network. My hobbies aren't illegal in any way, but still.

[ he figures that some people consider tackling aliens to be unusual, especially twenty-first century peeps, but mccoy and the rest of starfleet don't. ]
