Help. The City turned me into a girl. Most of my clothes don't fit and I don't even know what to do about these things on my chest. Are they supposed to be this uncomfortable? Seriously, how do girls do this?

In the ongoing saga of the-city-fucking-hates-Peter, I'm a girl. I don't even fucking know. Can we hang out for a while and not talk about the fact that I have breasts?

[Peter's leaning against the edge of the fountain, hands busy tossing an apple from hand to hand. She's in a pair of Peter's pajama pants and a red hoodie she tries to use to cover up that she doesn't have a bra on. She keeps an eye out for Lydia because she's not exactly expecting her to recognize him like this.

Fuck.]

[Lydia does show up, and she does appear quite puzzled once she does, as there is no scruffy gypsy boy to be found. She does spot the young woman, though, and offer an amenable smile as she sits down on the lip of the fountain to wait.]

[She takes a deep breath and walks over, biting her bottom lip for a moment. She almost wonders if she can't just wait it out, but she feels ridiculous, and then there's Roman--]

Lydia. It's Peter. I woke up as a girl and pretty much nothing fits. Can you, uhm. Help?

[Fuck that sounds ridiculous.]

[Blink.

Blink.]

Wow, you make a pretty hot girl.

Of course I can help. You need a bra like, yesterday. Come on.

[The shopping, it will be epic.]

You know, Stiles said the same thing.

[But, she will obligingly let Lydia lead this expedition because she knows next to nothing about girls' clothes. She just. Doesn't even know where to start. Peter figured he'd spare himself the embarrassment of trying to do it on his own and bring in an expert.]

Alright, lead the way.

[No idea what she's getting herself into, of course.]

That you were hot, or need a bra?

[Lingerie shop first. Measuring for a bra will no doubt be an exciting experience. Lydia doesn't actually push for anything super femme, not a lot of lacy or racy. But those plain satin sets? Some cute cotton with the little bows at the front clasp and on the band at the waist on the undies? Why not?]

That I was hot. He was nice enough not to comment about the bra.

[Peter is still not one-hundred-percent on whether he should be flattered or not. But, he lets her take him to a lingerie shop, puts up with being fitted with a minimum of complaining. They're more comfortable than he expects, and not that Peter's concerned, but it does make his breasts look even better. He's rather chesty, thanks to the Rumancek genetics he never thought he'd have to worry about.

The things Lydia picks out are tasteful enough, not the fire-engine red lace that went low enough to almost make him blush. He follows her lead, lost amidst the varying colors and band widths and cup styles.]

I doubt that you'll be stuck like this. Curses end eventually, but we'd best be prepared.

[Lingerie is only one stop along the way. Actual clothes are important too. Rather than drag Peter to boutiques, she opts for stops at places that are more Old Navy-ish, or have a wide variety of styles on hand so Peter can figure out her comfort zone. Shoes, however, may be another story, because high heels are, well, high heels.]

With my luck lately? Impossible to tell.

[She explores the stores, asking Lydia's advice because Peter's sense of style was mostly culled from second-hand stores, and girl clothes are entirely out of his realm of knowledge anyway. She avoids anything too overly sexy or lacey, but isn't entirely against cute things. Seriously, if he's going to be stuck as a girl, like, breasts and everything, it couldn't hurt to flaunt a little, right?]

He was staring. Roman, I mean. This morning.

[Peter doesn't even know where to start. This whole being a girl just makes this whole thing so much more of a head fuck. And somehow looking at racks of shirts seems maybe not the worst place to talk about Roman, even if she's still not one-hundred-percent she actually wants to.]

Well, he would. You're pretty gorgeous. But I can understand how that might make things a feel a little complicated to you.

[Lydia will do her level best to recruit Peter to Team Miniskirt, but in the end she'll default to whatever makes the other girl comfortable. But seriously, Peter: show dem gams.]

I mean, everything's already complicated. They got really weird for a couple days after that whole... internet history thing, and I thought things were back to normal.

[She neglects to point out that 'normal' was still fucked up beyond all belief. And Peter is pretty easy to recruit, even if she seems unsure at first. They're not all that bad, and as long as it's not leather or something... She can do this.]

I think I kind of like him, you know.

[As if Lydia hadn't figured that out, but maybe it needed saying anyway.]

I kind of like him too, but I don't think it's on the same level as your feelings.

I tried so hard not to. I was a dick to him, I'd push him away, I tried breaking things off with him after which he promptly OD'd himself into a coma.

Shit. We hurt each other. Sometimes it's like it's almost the only thing we're good at.

[Well, a lot of this is new information, but Lydia's got a totally pro pokerface.]

Feelings pretty much can't be helped. How much does he know?

[Peter looks at her, but doesn't catch it. He really doesn't know how much she knows about Roman, what he should or shouldn't say. They're volatile, but at least for Peter's part, it's like he can't fight it.]

I don't know. I haven't told him or anything, and Roman can be as oblivious as he wants to be.

[It's compounded by the fact that Lydia doesn't know how much Peter knows, and while she bets it's a lot, she doesn't know for certain.]

Do you want to tell him?

I don't know. Maybe? I mean, shit. He like you. And I don't want everything to get fucked again.

[Which is maybe a lot like cowardice. She has never been the sort for bravery. It's all been stolen from Roman, at the end of the day. Entitled richboy always braver than the gypsy wolf that only knows how to run.]

And I like him, but not at the level that you do. Roman isn't my boyfriend, and I've got no say in who he gets involved with. The question is, do you want to have a say in who he's involved with?

[You know what these girls need? Mani-pedis. Because grrl, you got yourself some gnarly toes, Miss Peter.]

[Shit. When she put it like that, it was a hard thing to admit to, made Peter shift a little bit uncomfortably. Because yeah, she kind of did. Fucked up as it was with everything that was between them.] Yeah, I kinda do. Fuck.

[So, yes, mani-pedis. Peter's never had one before, but, he's kind of decided he's just going to follow Lydia's lead today. And yeah, okay, her toes could totally use one.]

[Mani-pedis are actually a pretty relaxing thing as far as Lydia's concerned.]

Okay. So the next question is, what are you going to do if he says yes? And what are you going to do if he says no? Is the risk worth the potential reward?

[Casually,]

Do you want me to stop seeing him?

[Surprisingly relaxing, really. It kind of reminds him of his mother's hand massages that way. Kind of awesome, not that Peter would admit to enjoying being pampered. Gypsy, werewolf, lived in the dirt and the leaves of the forests of the world.]

I don't know, kiss his stupid mouth. [It's actually affectionate more than anything, interest.] But, really, if I'd figured that part out, I'd know what to do. This whole thing wouldn't be so fucked.

[She looks at Lydia at the question, and it takes a moment before she answers.]

No. I mean, I'd rather it was you than someone else. You're... safe.

I'm not exactly sure what that means? But I also suspect you can't quite define it either.

There's no perfect solution for this. But I can tell you that hiding your feelings doesn't really do anybody any good that I've seen.

So, what? I should just tell him I like him and that I want to makeout?

He'd probably punch me. I don't think he, you know. Even likes boys.

[He's just gonna scratch fingers at his neck because it's a really weird subject to discuss with his body as it is.]
