Okay. This curse is fucking stupid. Where is all my coffee? And why the hell does every single place I go to seem to run out of anything with caffeine when I get there?

[At the Casino, in theory, Theo should be running his card table, but he's been radiating DEATH and DESTROY EVERYTHING so "loudly" that people have been avoiding it. And Meyer appears to have vanished. So he's nursing a drink at the bar and glowering at people.]

[Things people don't realize about Theo. He needs at least three cups of coffee before being able to act human... guess what. He got hit by the Cold-Turkey curse...]

[Meyer's confused. It's like he's lost a whole day somewhere, and he has no idea what had happened. There's only one thing to do in a time like that -- go to work and try to ignore reality. As soon as he steps into the casino, though, he can practically feel Theo glowering. He raises an eyebrow.]

I've had no caffeine of any sort in two days.

[Meyer probably realizes that while some people are a few drinks shy of being sober, Theo is a few drinks shy of being able to deal with people. He usually is drinking something with caffeine at least once a night. He managed to be barely pleasant yesterday. Today....]

Then by all means, have some coffee.

[A pause.]

Unless...

[He remembers the curse where he couldn't get any cigarettes with a sinking feeling. Theo is very likely cursed. Even if Meyer could bring him coffee, he somehow wouldn't be able to drink it.]

Damn straight.

And I managed to only really hurt one person, yesterday so I think I'm doing pretty good.

And you better not have done that in the casino.

In this place, I'm thinking the answer is yes.

That would be more bad than good. Maybe you should go beat on things at the gym.

No. As in anything with caffeine. Like chocolate.

It has caffeine in it, doesn't it?

Yes. In lieu of coffee, very few would willingly stuff themselves full of aspirin - adverse effects from mass consumption. May have a loophole or not.

Well, considering this curse, I doubt I'd find any. And I'm not that foolish.

I think stabbing people would be more cathartic.
