I don't think the City does that. [She sounds amused, though.] Why the question to the network, though? Giving up sounds so... sad.

I don't know, it's not always sad. Somebody might get a new idea to jump start their escape.

We've all tried, I think. Or thought about it. A few years ago, me and some friends from my world tried to suss out the carousel and it got defensive. Nothing like what happened a couple days ago, but... it isn't easy, someone always gets hurt.

What'd you do? Beat down on the door? I think about what happens when you try to outsmart the place, but I'm not saying I have the brains to do it.

We didn't know what we were doing. I don't think anyone really does, even these new people in charge.

As far as we know, they're just like us.
