[ Lucy's flat seems to have exploded. Things are stacked and piled seemingly at random. She's wearing a baseball cap backwards and she's got an old tee shirt on and cut off jeans. Her hair is in pigtails and there's a variety of cleaning products scattered about. She's right in the middle of a top to bottom cleaning and organization spree of her flat. She's sitting on the floor amongst a riot of books and knickknacks with a glass of something iced at hand. ]

Hi. So...this seems like an appropriate time to ask. I need opinions and sounding boards for likely highly illogical ramblings of the relationship kind.

Any and all applicants will be considered?

[ Chekov, you are far too sweet and if you ask Lucy, she will never, ever deserve you.

Her bottom lip trembled at his confession and she gets up from the table, moving around to his side before she wiggles and worms her way under his arm and up into his lap. It's probably not appropriate for a restaurant, but Lucy doesn't much care.

It's her way of saying I missed you too. ]

[His immediate thought is that she's walking out on him. As such, he's pleasantly surprised when she makes her way into his lap.

They might be in public, but the only reasonable course of action involves pulling Lucy closer for a kiss. Because he is imminently reasonable, that's exactly what Chekov does.]

[ She hadn't even considered that he'd think of that.

She really likes that he's so logical. She returns the kiss almost desperately, her hand goes to the curve of his neck, fingertips tracing lightly upward to his cheek. ]

[Even though maintaining a certain amount of decency isn't at the front of Chekov's mind, he draws back after a moment. He needs to be certain. He needs to know that they're okay and this isn't a hormone-fueled lapse of judgment.]

We are together again?

[ Lucy considers that for a moment, looking up at him. ]

Do you want to be?

[He's extremely serious when he replies.]

Yes, I do.

[mightbeconcussed]

[Lucy bites her bottom lip and nods. ]

Me too. [ It's a small, quiet voice.]

[Chekov can't hold back a smile.

Or, it turns out, the need to kiss Lucy again. They have time to make up for.]

[ Oh. See. That's a very good reaction, Chekov. She is absolutely okay with that reaction because she needs to kiss him too. There is time to make up for and she wasn't sure he'd be okay with any of the making up. ]
