The Anonymous spoke to the network about a couple of 'bubbles' situated somewhere in the City that'll help prevent us from getting cursed, but they also mentioned about some drawbacks. Loss of a sense, or of a memory, while you're inside. Quid pro quo.

[ He's been meaning to call, he really has. There's every reason to, it's just that he strongly suspects he'll say something wrong if he has to kick things off, so when Bones posts to the network it loosens a tiny knot of tension and lets him ease into things. The fact that Spock snapped at him to get his shit together (in Vulcan terms and therefore heavily paraphrasing) has given him little to think of but making up with Leonard, still floored on some level that his best friend never said anything about what he's been going through. It's all a year in the future for Jim, he hasn't given that period a thought because he hasn't lived through it, but the circumstances here are as screwed up as ever and he can't ignore it now the whole mess has been brought to his attention. He's starting to feel like anticipating future problems to nip them in the bud before they happen for him is going to become A Thing.

Jim's determined to discuss the important stuff eventually. First, there's everything else to get out of the way, menial City-wide bullshit in the form of pirates and bubbles. ]

Yeah, sure. [ He opts for a normal sort of tone in reply, deliberately keeping it even and light. ] What's up? Besides cutlasses and parrots.

[ he just sort of - breathes out quietly when jim replies. he was afraid of the opposite, that jim would be feel too angry to answer him back. that's what he realizes was fucked up about what he did - he left jim. ]

[Lara is the Mistress of Arms aboard a vessel captained by a bear, but it beats sitting around and thinking about her current situation. It seemed logical to her. When she responds to McCoy's network post, she is wearing tight, black trousers, tight black corset under a long-sleeved, black fancy shirt akin to pirate fashion and tall, black boots. Her leather belt has a holding place for a long, black leather whip, her two guns,and a dagger. There is a blade sheath in a pouch in each of her boots and a bandolier of bullets diagonally across her chest. Her buckle is the one she arrived with: a grinning skull design. Very apt. Her hair is in its usual long braid. She looks like a pirate queen from a classy wet dream.]
