[ If anyone is hanging out in the square, they'll see a very confused looking teenager slowly bringing what is not his cell phone closer to his face. And if anybody is looking at the network, they see the adorable can't be mad at that face moving closer to the screen. He tilts his head, perplexed. He looks around. Nobody else looks completely confused.

But, wait. He hears other people on this thing. He squints. Could this be some kind of mass communication device? Give a gold star to Scott McCall as he looks around him and then back down. ]

Can anybody hear me? Or, see me? Anyone know how far away I am from Beacon Hills? [ Or how he even got here? ] It's in California. [ This doesn't look like California. He'd ask for help but it's not exactly something he wants to do. He can handle this. It reminds him of those times he woke up miles from home. But, that was a wolf thing. Could this be true alpha related? Is this something he has to look forward to? ] Or, if anybody near me has a cell, I need to reach some people. [ Or, at least his mother. Hi Mom. I'm all right. I just woke up in a strange place. ] Thanks.

[ But, he pauses. His nose picks something up. Yes. He distinctly smells something familiar. Or, mouth-watering. It's not clear. And that's all the network gets as he brings it back down to his side. But, the video continues as he's walking in some nondescript direction. ]

I dunno if they were actually gods -- dunno if I really believe in gods these days, not since I was a kid, at least. They sure seemed to think of themselves that way, though, 'n I gotta admit, they had impressive powers, bein' able to cause all those curses.

Yeah, some people're thinkin' that maybe the sickness came from the whole rebellion. Nobody seems to know.

We know they say they're trynna get us out of here, but we ain't seen any proof that they've succeeded in doin' that. At first, I was on board with 'em, but now...

[He shrugs.]

How long have you been here?

Shit, y'know, ten months or so, I guess? There're people that've been here five years or so, though.

That's a long time. Did you ever get back home? [ Before coming back, of course. ]

No, but sometimes people do. I mean, there're people who've come and gone quite a few times.

Yeah, I've heard that.

So, y'know, it ain't all bad. 'n you said you had a friend here, right? That's better'n some people get.

Yeah, his name's Stiles. Do you know him?

Can't say I do, but there're a lot of people here I haven't met. It's actually a pretty big town.

Is it a City? Or, is it just called the City? [ Because that would get CONFUSING. ]

Pretty sure it's a city. Seems big enough, 'n it'd be damn confusin' to call it The City if it weren't a city.

It would! [ Thank you! ] There's another person here that I know from back in Beacon Hills. Derek Hale?

I've maybe heard the name, but...

[He shrugs.]

Like I said, I don't know as many people as I'd like to. I spend a lotta time workin'.

[ He's definitely going to have to get a job if this whole, can't get back home, thing sticks. ]

Well, y'know what I was sayin' about magic? I work in a magic joke shop. It's called Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. You should drop by sometime -- we got all kinds of magic tricks, 'n I do mean real magic.

A magic joke shop?

Sure, y'know, we've got magic wands that turn into frogs, we've got fireworks -- magic, of course -- we've got stuff for practical jokes... all that kinda stuff. It's a real fun place.

But, magic.

That's right. It took me awhile to believe it, too, but it's all real magic.

Not David Blaine, David Copperfield, Criss Angel: Mind Freak and I'm just now realizing you wouldn't get any of those references. They're famous magicians.

Nope, not like any of those guys, if by magicians you mean stage magicians. It's real magic, done by my boss. She's real good at it.

Yeah. I meant on stage. Or, in shops. We have magic shops and joke shops, too? But, not like that.

Yeah, I know it sounds unbelievable, but most stuff around here does. There're all kinds of stores that do magic things.
