Do not be so complacent and easily distracted. We are at a tenuous juncture. New methods must be put into place or this city is at an end.

I do not yet know how thoroughly entwined that clock is with this environment, but it is failing.

She wants anything that will give her power. She intended to use my FTL to rewrite the universe in her own virtual reality.

There are certain spacetime distortions involved in the FTL, her computational potential is developed enough to map them, and ultimately manipulate them at her will.

I had hope to use similar methods to allow those who wished to leave to do so. Now, I am more concerned with understanding the clock. It's gears hold together more than just this City. I need to better understand it's workings.

That takes exceedingly complex calculations, to manipulate spacetime with any exactness.

I hope that the clock can be understood.
