Oh, honestly, to think it's only been a week or two since all that fighting and chaos, and now just when we have a moment to catch our breath, it's time for the visitors to come to call again! I'd only just barely managed to get everything back in order at the Blue Light too, bother it all. Still, the doors are open and we're more than happy to have you, if you should decide to come by--visitors and residents alike! But I won't have any more trouble, so if you should decide to come by, please do be on your best behavior! I'll be there all day, myself, and we'll stay open until midnight so that everyone can have as long a time as possible to visit and enjoy the company before the visitors have to go home. This is the second day of the visiting, after all.

But yes, please do come down and say hello. I'm always happy to see everyone, and especially so a friendly face or two. And we'll even have a special--not on any of the drinks, I'm afraid, after what happened the last time, but anyone coming in to visit is welcome to have something to eat at half the cost. So please do come! We'd love to have you.

Oh, but, er...that is, if you do come by, please do mind the, um...dragon. I'm afraid Edmund's in a bit of a mood today--I think it's just that the crowds are bothering him, that's all.

Lucy! Your sister, Lucy? Oh, good, did she come along, too? Someone was looking for her, earlier.

--Er, that is...good that she's here, I mean, not that someone was kissing her when you don't approve of it.

How many Lucy's are there?

Was it a young man?

I can think of at least one other, but that's hardly here nor there, now, is it.

It was, yes! And very polite, too, with a lovely smile and green eyes.

Goodness, I wish I'd known! I would've stopped him for you. It was a while ago that he was in, though, and he hadn't found Lucy yet when he came by, so I suppose he must've...er...found her. Um, in the end.

Well, there's no point in worrying over the matter now.

The two of you act just alike, you know.

You and the other Edmund.

Though you and Lucy have your similarities, too, of course.

You mean the dragon?

There's a perfectly good explanation!

It's just that when we shrank him, he ended up a bit...that is, he's rather, um. Solemn. And protective. And a bit bad-tempered when he doesn't have his way about things, and really rather sweet when he's of a mind to be. And in any case, I thought that if I had to be looking after a dragon anyway, I might as well call him something that would help to act against how...er, nervous I get around him.

I feel as though I should be offended.

It's not an insult!

He's loyal and true!

Not nearly so much as the other Edmund is.

I should be at least a bit grateful for that.

I'm very happy to see you, you know. Broody or not.

I should hope so.

Fancy a trip up the mountain? Rumor is Lucy headed that way.

[primrosella]

I think I can see fit to leave the Blue Light for a little while, at least. It's fairly quiet at the moment anyway, and the staff on hand can handle things while I'm gone.

[wandbreaker]

Bring your horse.

We're going to need them.

That's just fine. It's been too long since last we had the chance to race, anyway.

Miss Megumi?! My goodness, I haven't seen you in--why yes, hello, it's so good to see you! And, er...no, I suppose it's rather the same as always, really, in its way. But it's really not so bad, is it?

Ah hah. I suppose not. Goodness, after all this time, I am surprised that anyone remembers me at all! You certainly don't fail to impress, Rosella. Though you are quite the sight for sore eyes.

I'm glad to see you're just as I remember you, though! It seems as though the City continues to be loathe to let you and Cain go.

Well, there's a few of us still about, at least. Goodness, it'll be five years for me now, next month. I never would've imagined it'd be so long!

[One rather gets used to the hellos and goodbyes after that long, doesn't one.]

But we do all right for ourselves, even so. Would you care to come down to the Blue Light to visit a bit? I, er...I own it now, you see, so I suppose that's one difference to account for, all the same.

Five years! I believe I was on four myself when I left. Goodness, imagine if I'd have stayed all this time!

[ It's a good thing to be used to, knowing the kind of place this is. ]

I wouldn't doubt your ability to handle this place better than most, though. Is it just me, or is the city look even more different than I last recall? I'm sure I can find my way to the Blue Light, though! Ah, I'm so glad to hear it's still around!

Oh, things have been--er. It's just, lately...

[It's not the part about things being different that she's struggling with; it's articulating just precisely how it bothers her.]

...Well, in any case, it's certainly something! And I'm sure there'll be time to tell you all about it once you've, er, had the chance to sit and enjoy the rest a bit.
