I remember visiting the circus with my parents a long time ago. I can't say I particularly enjoyed seeing the animals in confinement, but some of the acts were remarkable. Of course that was before I knew I possessed an ounce of Magic.

[She is currently standing on a sidewalk, facing an unused building.]

Reparo. [Raising her wand, she seals a crack in the front door.] I'm sure it won't be that easy, but I suppose it's a start.

[Her attention returns to her communicator, gaze bright and alert.]

I've been thinking about opening a shop. Considering what I brought with me from my world, I have a few options. Then again, if I want the business to be successful, it would be best to consult you, possible costumers.

So tell me: books or potions? I wouldn't be opposed to offering both in case you wondered if that was an option too.

All sorts! I have some ingredients that I've brought from home, but those will run out, no doubt. I'd like to see what grows in and around the city. With a little experimenting, I might be able to replicate the potions I learned at Hogwarts.

DO you mean healing potions or something more?

More, certainly. Potions can do a lot of things that you might not know about.

You might be surprised, I wonder how different they would be to my home.

A shop--a splendid idea, I think. But wouldn't the books be instructive enough in the ways and means of making those same potions?

I don't presume to judge, I'm only considering the ways I'd think to do the thing.

Potions are not easily made nor should they be attempted by someone who hasn't been taught.

It would be far more dangerous than that, I assure you. Even under the watch of the Potions-Master at Hogwarts - the school I attended - I watched classmates injure themselves quite badly.

Some things never change. You had a potions shop here ages ago, you helped Snape with it.

I can't say I'm fond of him. [She never was and she is even less fond of him lately, but -] Were we civil?

He was here when I arrived four years ago. I was sixteen, in the middle of the whole thing with the DA, so you can imagine what I thought of him.

[But now that she knows the full story, she... well, she'll never like Snape, but she knows what he's done.]

I didn't really speak to him so I don't know how it was with you. He left a few months after I got here, anyway.

I can't imagine anyone from our world got along well with him. [But she has to admit that she is curious about his intentions in the war.] Merlin only knows what he went back to. His actions have confused me.

He kept to himself here but it seemed like everyone was rather civil about it all. He warded the cabin out in the forest and the flat, too, because my old roommate was close to him. Claire would get so cross if I ever said a bad word about him.

I just think you can never go wrong with books. There's so much information to be learned from them.

You're right about that. I'm fond of them myself and I would like to copy the tomes I have and make them available to anyone who wants them.

I don't see a reason not to put my skills to good use. I'm tired of watching people suffer. By opening a shop, I can do more for my fellow citizens.

I don't think it's my place to judge anyone. Of course there are those I'd rather not run into, but I haven't met anyone that doesn't deserve help to some degree.
