060 x 060 // action // partying hard
[ She's been training with a number of interesting individuals during her time in the City. In her homeworld, she used to break knees for a pimp. Wasn't trained for the job though, just threw herself into it and reveled any injuries she sustained. She's still guilty of that, but she's gotten better at ducking. ]
[ When she came to the City, the nerves in her hands were still damaged from the bullet she took to the brain. A few bloody incidents and a wish later and... Bullseye. She'll still defer to the Cowboy in a pinch, but today she's pulling out all the stops. ]
[ If she's completely honest with herself, Carla has never been at peace. She's always been burning with something, itching for something, and she grows bored far too easily. She craves stimulation. In the back of her mind, she's not so sure she likes being at peace, but for the next few hours it's what she has. She and Peanut will be in the park, taking a nap on a picnic blanket. ]
[ This is more like what Carla craves: a high. This is going to end in nothing but trouble. More prone to picking fights for fun and looking for mischief, she's bad news today. Unless you're in on the fun. ]
[ Carla never shows gratitude, ever. If you think you're due a few thank yous, come and collect. She'll be sketching at one of her favorite bakeries. She might even have a doodle or two for you. ]
[ She's very physical, that Carla. Hugs and kisses and... ahem. For everyone. ]
[ There's a monster dog on the loose. (sandurufu) Everyone is welcome to encounter Rex. He's derp of a 'dog.' Theo will be in charge of returning him, in the end. ]

[Theo carefully pets Rex. He's not used to living animals wanting him to pet them. Even Trever's familiar will give him scratches if he gets too close.]

[From Rex's chain collar, there is a leash dangling. It appears he has definitely escaped, but there is no one nearby calling for him. Probably because Gazelle disappeared a couple of days ago.]
no subject
I wonder who you belong to. In this place it could be anyone, couldn't it?
[Carefully he takes the leash and wishes he could talk to animals like Trever can.]

Where are we going? Do you know where home is?
[Vaguely he remembers someone - probably Trever again - that dogs are smart enough to know how to find their way home. Rex seems to be very dog like so it's possible he could do the same thing.]

[Rex noses his way inside confidently, taking Theo up quite a lot of flights up stairs, then down the hall to a corner apartment.]
[He sits down in front of a door looking expectant. Use your mad knocking skills, Theo, or he's gonna scratch up that door.]

Figuring he's got nothing to lose, he gives a knock on the door.]
I hope this is your home or I'm going to be rather embarrassed.

[...In fact he kind of looks disappointed.]
[A little probing will reveal that the crazy woman who lived here before has taken up residence elsewhere...]
no subject
Come on. I think your mom moved.

[Either way, Rex trots along at Theo's side, nose to the air as if just waiting for the woman's scent to waft by.]
no subject
Your mom should be happy to see you.
[He feels like he should be having a conversation with the monster dog. He's not sure why. But perhaps he's spent too much time with Trever who talks to animals all the time.]

[But the closer they get to the beach, the more excited Rex seems to get, because it's not just Carla he can smell but also Peanut, who is his erstwhile little brother - no relation. Rex starts to bounce between each step, making excited noises that sound a little bit more intimidating than cute, but his tail is also wagging a mile a minute.]
[...not far away, someone is barking. It's probably Peanut, pawing at the sliding glass door in the back of Carla's flat.]

Rex!
[Rex begins to pull very hard on his leash in order to reach his mistress.]

[It takes her a moment to look up at Theo and frown.]
[...Hey creeper.]

[Hi there.]

I just found him chasing his tail in the city.
no subject
Good. Fuck her.

He seems happy to be back.

[She looks at Rex, who is in fact delighted. He doesn't hold that whole 'you murdered me' thing against her.]
...he's always like that.
no subject
Ah. I see. I've never met very many living animals that could stand being around me, so I wouldn't know.

[She looks down into Rex's glowing yellow eyes.]
And I bled Rex out in my bathtub for a deity trade.
[He's familiar with death.]
no subject
I think you mentioned that the last time we talked.
