060 x 060 // action // partying hard
[ She's been training with a number of interesting individuals during her time in the City. In her homeworld, she used to break knees for a pimp. Wasn't trained for the job though, just threw herself into it and reveled any injuries she sustained. She's still guilty of that, but she's gotten better at ducking. ]
[ When she came to the City, the nerves in her hands were still damaged from the bullet she took to the brain. A few bloody incidents and a wish later and... Bullseye. She'll still defer to the Cowboy in a pinch, but today she's pulling out all the stops. ]
[ If she's completely honest with herself, Carla has never been at peace. She's always been burning with something, itching for something, and she grows bored far too easily. She craves stimulation. In the back of her mind, she's not so sure she likes being at peace, but for the next few hours it's what she has. She and Peanut will be in the park, taking a nap on a picnic blanket. ]
[ This is more like what Carla craves: a high. This is going to end in nothing but trouble. More prone to picking fights for fun and looking for mischief, she's bad news today. Unless you're in on the fun. ]
[ Carla never shows gratitude, ever. If you think you're due a few thank yous, come and collect. She'll be sketching at one of her favorite bakeries. She might even have a doodle or two for you. ]
[ She's very physical, that Carla. Hugs and kisses and... ahem. For everyone. ]
[ There's a monster dog on the loose. (sandurufu) Everyone is welcome to encounter Rex. He's derp of a 'dog.' Theo will be in charge of returning him, in the end. ]

Paranoid?
Yup.]

It's not there are any monster dogs chasing their tails right in the middle of your path or anything. ]

He kinda stares at the dog like creature thing with a bit of a bemused expression on his face.]

July 2nd:: Action
Hey!

Look who it is.
[Beaming, she comes over to say hello, which clearly involves invading his personal space.]
no subject
[He's in a much better mood than usual. In fact, he doesn't look downcast or grumpy at all, which is a marked change. Nor does he mind having his personal space invaded one bit.]

action; 1st of july
Still, after work is over, Mae detours from the library to Xanadu to check it out, and since the weather is nice, finishes the day with a walk in the park. She's not tempted to try her aim or her luck or even to get her fortune told, and less so is she tempted to buy anything. Which is a shocker, considering how much she's been thinking she needs a drink. But not from the sketchy people that just wandered into town with a party on their tail. She's already had that experience once with the freaky circus, and sometimes still hisses accidentally as a result of those nice days.
She spots Peanut first, and then Carla after a double-take, and ends up deviating from her path home yet again. If Mae were a moth, Carla'd probably be that zappy, dangerous light.]

Everyone gets hugs. You get a hug, and you get a hug, and you get a hug.

Company is something that he could do without. As such, Justin seriously considers ducking into a side street when he catches sight of Carla out of the corner of his eye. But no--if she saw him, she'd probably be pleased with herself for encouraging him to run away.]

July 4th - This will be awkward :3
[ By 7:00, he's seated outside a cafe, on a bench beneath the spreading branches of a tree. One hand wrapped around a sweating glass of cocktail smoothie, the other lifting to scrub at his face, which twitches in Hei's barely-there rendition of a stifled yawn. ]
[ Come bother him. Just. Y'know. Don't touch his smoothie. ]
no subject
[She likes to draw at the cafes. Can sit outside with Peanut and eat something sweet and mostly be left to her devices, or can people watch if she so chooses.]
[She's alone this morning, however, and she doesn't have to people watch to notice Hei. He's something that generally draws her attention because she knows what she's looking for. And when she does affection swells in her thoughts. It wasn't usually affection, it tended to be something more like an obsessive lust and occasionally reassurance. Affection was new, but then again she knows she has been drinking sweet things from the park every day and each has caused something different to happen. None entirely disagreeable, although the previous day's sense of gratitude had been irritating.]
[Carla comes over to sit with Hei, not immediately opening her mouth to say anything, just staring.]
no subject
[ None of that really matters to him. Hei has learnt, over the years, to fine-tune his special brand of selfishness. The trajectory of his own life is all that concerns him. He keeps his eyes only on who -- and what -- intersects it. (Who: Yin, Mao. Sometimes Korra. More rarely, Chekov. What: a set of knives, a mapwork of exits, the clothes on his back and his own skills.) ]
[ He doesn't tense or bristle when Carla settles beside him. At this head-sore hour of the day, dealing with irritants may lack appeal. But Hei has dealt with a lifetime of them. He wasn't exactly hiding from watchful eyes, anyway. (If he were, Carla's gaze would've slid past him like he was part of the prosaic scenery. He knows how to catch the local vibe and fade right into it.) He doesn't avoid her stare. He takes a sip of his smoothie and meets her look flatly. (There's a difference in the shades of her energy, he thinks. The warmth in her eyes is something he's killed other marks for being stupid enough to reveal to him.) ]
Problem?
[ Dry and terse. He wonders if she's cursed, or under some chemical influence. ]
