First and foremost, if anyone happens to be caught in the midst of a battle they'd prefer to avoid, please feel completely free to let me know. I have at my disposal a vehicle capable of flight, and I would be more than happy to lend its services in the name of safe transport to your home or any other location.

Beyond merely offering safe transit within the City as needed, I'm not certain precisely what else can be done from within with our present level of knowledge. I must admit to being more than a bit concerned with a power struggle taking place within a dimension that functions as a controlled nexus, the management of which is accomplished through means which we do not yet understand. Already we've seen the curses disrupted - a startling mechanical discrepancy to the City's established mode of functioning - and the beings who call themselves deities provoked to paranoid suspicion and witch hunts. What troubles me most greatly, however, are the potential implications of a nexus that supports some form of unknown interdimensional connectivity sustaining damage that could possibly lead to instability in all of the timelines to which it is connected - or in less oblique terms, each and every one of our own dimensions of origin.

I'm not so concerned about all timelines--if the destruction of one universe results in the destruction of all others, then we would not be here and discussing this--but it would be upsetting if the City and everyone in it was destroyed. [Slight understatement, perhaps.] This presupposes that the City operates within the perimeters established by physics and logic as I understand them. Perhaps it operates according to other laws? Or worlds are clustered, maybe, like galaxies, and the destruction of one would eliminate only the others in its local cluster. The City could also exist within an exotic universe that behaves differently from others, which would possibly explain its inconsistency...

My concern is not that the destruction of one universe would have repercussions - my concerns are due to the fact that the City is connected in some way to other realities which other universes typically are not.

But indeed, the best we can presently do seems to be stabbing at speculation and wonderings. With the City in this kind of turmoil, I'm concerned as to whether we could gain any knowledge - which, indeed, is already a considerable enough challenge.

In this situation, speculation can wait, maybe, for when the City fails to end, as I think it will.

What knowledge would be useful? What do you want to learn?

Indeed, but if those in power do not possess a thorough understand of the City's mechanics, there could be repercussions. Which is certainly not to say the deities necessarily did understand them, of course.

I wish to learn precisely that, of course - to better understand the City at its core. Though, on a lesser and more targeted - and therefore more feasible - scale, there are aspects of it which inspire curiosity. The irregularities with the network, for instance - not that I'm inclined to discuss that at length of this particular channel, obviously.
