[Todd's struggling against a member of the anonymous forces when his device activates in the scuffle, turning on the voice feature.]

I'm not doing anything for the deities, I'm just--

[His hesitation provides an opportunity to be interrupted. The voices that do so aren't quite discernible, but they're certainly not friendly.]

Not signing up for one side doesn't mean I'm on the other. I... I just don't want to fight.

[There's another response, but nothing further from Todd - there's some muffled noise of activity, though, as he makes a break for it. The transmission cuts off after a few moments.]

[Korra hadn't meant to check the Network. She'd opened up her device to send a message to Hei when it started playing this post. She frowns, recognizing the voice but having trouble placing it.]

Todd?

[She can't remember the last time they spoke. What's going on?!]

[First it takes Todd a bit to find somewhere to duck and try to regain his composure. Then it takes another moment for him to realize that his device has a message for him.

That would be why his response is slightly delayed.]

Um... yeah. Hi.

[His reply takes just long enough for her to start worrying.]

Are you okay?

Yeah, I... I got away from them. I think.

[He's banking on the fact that they'll give up on him because there are probably far more threatening people for them to go after.]

[anatural]

Who were they?

[mumbled_truth]

I don't know, exactly. They must have been part of the rebellion, I mean, they... they thought I was helping the deities.

I don't think I could even if I wanted to.

voice;

[anatural]

That's stupid! You're stuck here just like the rest of us. Who do these people think they are?!

I know. Even if I don't want to leave, that doesn't mean I'd ever want to help the deities.

[ sigh ]

I don't... actually know who any of these people are. I don't think I've ever seen any of them before.

The people fighting against the deities, they're... I don't know where they came from. It doesn't seem like think they're like us, that they were brought here the same way we were. There are a lot of us that don't want to fight.
