They suspected I helped with the anonymous revolutionaries. After speaking with me, I was charged for using an ability after the power ban, and therefore likely helping them.

How were they able to prove that your ability was used to assist the revolutionaries? If it's just an assumption, then I don't see why they should punish you for it.
