Those things aren't Digimon, I don't think. [Ken peers off screen, likely out the window at the worms crawling around.] First yesterday's shower of meteors, and now these overly large worms.

Does anyone know why things are getting more aggressive? Is it because of the revolutionaries?

What perplexes me is that there's a force field around the City from what I've learned. Meteors can't just come in from the sky, can they? It means that someone let them in, or that the force field isn't working properly.

Yes. That's the part that bothers me. Which is it? It's more like the former, considering the deities.

You think so? Hmm. Why do you think they'd do such a thing?

It's common belief they control the weather and curses. And considering recent events, I wouldn't be surprised if they were angry.

I guess you're right. People seem pretty angry at them, and they even killed that one deity who was supposedly collaborating with us . . .

Is it always this tense here?

No. It hadn't been like this before. This is something that's been happening after the past few months.

Just my luck - I arrived just when something big's about to happen!

Level-headed? I suppose so. There used to be others, and there are still some here that handle these situations well. It makes a difference to speak with someone like that.

I've been here well over a year. About a year and a half.

Yeah. Panicking is natural, but in the end, we have to move on and do something, right?

That's a long time . . . I'm glad you're still looking hopeful.

I agree. That's why I liked the people I've met here. They're usually pretty good at laying things out and giving you plans. All of that made it easier.

Friends are a good source of hope. People should never lose hope in a situation. When they do, that's when they give up and everything's lost.

But since we know so little about this place, I think it's easy to keep hoping. There's always a chance something will take us home.
