[Solomon's hand pulls away from a newly activated network device. His eyes shine as he stares intently at the long tapered fingers of his other hand. It takes him a moment to glance back at the blinking light of the camera but he gives whatever audience he has a curious look.]

The most remarkable thing... do you see? [At this he turns his hand and presents frost covered fingers towards the device. He smiles.] Now watch.

[Pulling his hand back to his mouth, he blows softly along the back of his hand. Ice crackles as it crystalizes along his skin and he beams happily.]

Interesting, isn't it? I don't suppose anyone else is having such an experience?

[ Awkwardly, ] I'm actually a chef. [ When he's not carrying out assassinations. ] So my first thought is always how to whip up snacks in quick and cost-effective ways. [ Also: he's a glutton. ]

[He pouts, before trying to regain some sense of composure.] No matter! Where might I find you? I'd like a share in some of that chill.

You might want to blow very gently up towards the burn. Not too hard, just enough to arrest any further damage from the iron.

[ This man must be a mage or sorcerer of sorts. Hopefully, that would indicate some sense of wisdom and insight beyond the masses. On the other hand...most of the mages she's familiar with are borderline insane, so she approaches this one with a bit of reserve. ]

I don't understand how the weather could go from one extreme to another in just a day. I have yet to adapt to the peculiarities of this place, but I must ask if you know anything about the cause. Can they all be attributed to those who summoned us here?

That's highly likely, yes. Most every anomaly here can be attributed to the deities of the City. [A fact that doesn't seem to disturb him in the least.]

How long have you been here?

Only a few days, but I have yet to discern my purpose in being here. Why anyone is here, either.

[ She doesn't know if it's more troubling to think that they were all specifically chosen out of everyone in their worlds or that they were randomly selected. ]

Is it just an act of cruelty to hold us prisoner or will we take part in some greater task?

Purpose? [He pauses, considering for a moment.] Who's to say... I've yet to hear any of them speak of their true intentions. To one, we are children, to another test subjects... but who's to say that there's any agenda at all?

Although, I hardly believe there's no reason to it. I merely suggest that it might not be so simple to pin down just one explanation. But I suppose you can always ask them. I'd be curious to see what they say.
