[Accidental Video] Backdate of Doom

[ooc: Please to be assuming this was posted accidentally yesterday sometime in the morning.]

[There's a hand that reaches out and picks up several candy hearts out of a dish. All the hearts go into the palm of the person's other hand then get picked up one by one as a voice reads the words out loud]

[There a pause as the hands turn the candy over and over a moment.]

Bit odd. [it's just a whisper and then there's a movement that could be a shrug before the hands disappear, presumably so the person can put the candy in her mouth. Several seconds pass and then fairly suddenly the person ends up sitting on the floor, her knees to her chest, tears streaming down her cheeks as she buries her face against her knees.]

[The funny thing is, Rose is hypocritical enough to bulldoze over fixed points in time if it means staying with the Doctor. She'd tell him that they'd find some way to fix it. She's fairly sure that he wouldn't turn into that with her around though. She listens to him, nodding slightly, her hand flattening out against his chest so that she can feel him breathing in out, concentrate on that and on his hearts beating. It helps a little. Her breathing evens out a bit anyway.]

I wish you'd found me sooner.

Probably wouldn't have worked very well. I was so, so angry after the Time War, Rose. I would have chewed you up and spat you out without a second thought. [ PTSD sucks, okay. He was mad at the whole universe, and willing to take it out on anyone that came close enough. ]

Plus, what would I have done with teeny Rose, hmm? Fingerpainting in the TARDIS? Terrible babysitter, I am.

[ He smiles at her a little. ]

[It's likely she would have ended up crying a lot.]

Ought. [ He shakes his head. ] Hard to argue that with the universe, 'm afraid. But I'm not alone anymore. Never will be, will I? You're a hard one to lose.

[ He gives her an affectionate look. ]

[She returns the look with one of her own, releasing her hold on him just a bit so it's not quite so desperate.]

M'gonna stay with you forever. Promised.

[Everything she's seen and felt through the curses hasn't changed how she feels about that. She knows what he once was and she doesn't care. Forever is more of a metaphorical promise than a literal one. She knows that. She still thinks it's probably comforting for this one to hear those words as well.]

That's a very long time, you know. We'll have to check in again when you're 500 or so. See if you're tired of me yet.

[ It is comforting to him to hear it, but he knows it can't be true. Which is sad. So, deflecting joke! ]

Lucky for you, there's still the 'all of time and space' benefit.

[It's said with so much teasing. No, it can't be true. At least not the way she is now. She's still avoiding thinking too much about it which is why she responds with the deflecting joke!]

So you'll put up with me as long as I take you to strange and exotic places, is that it? [ Headshake of false disapproval. ] Travel is the key to a lady's heart.

[ He takes and squeezes her hand, thankful that she seems to be feeling better. ]
