[Accidental Video] Backdate of Doom

[ooc: Please to be assuming this was posted accidentally yesterday sometime in the morning.]

[There's a hand that reaches out and picks up several candy hearts out of a dish. All the hearts go into the palm of the person's other hand then get picked up one by one as a voice reads the words out loud]

[There a pause as the hands turn the candy over and over a moment.]

Bit odd. [it's just a whisper and then there's a movement that could be a shrug before the hands disappear, presumably so the person can put the candy in her mouth. Several seconds pass and then fairly suddenly the person ends up sitting on the floor, her knees to her chest, tears streaming down her cheeks as she buries her face against her knees.]

[Much later. Individual text messages to Cinna & the Doctor with the hair]

Did you save them? I...ate a candy

Rose? Are you all right?

Rose -- [ Ach, what can he say? ] I'll come by.

[She takes a moment to mop at her face, despite the fact that it's just audio, and get control of her emotions. She still feels horrid, incredibly lonely and guilty, isolated]

Yeah. I'm...they're not my feelin's and memories.

[It's a very quiet, small voice]

[ He hadn't even waited for the response. Good thing he still has the spare key. The Doctor's coming for you, Rose, even if it isn't your favorite one. ]

[Hush all of that. He's her Doctor too. She doesn't play favourites between them. The one with the hair just had a very specific memory attached to him and he looked different from any that she's seen in the other one.

He'll find her sitting behind the couch, curled up in a little ball, in a fairly pitiful state. She got all of his emotions with that memory as well.]

[ He almost gasps to see her in such a state. It's not that he's never seen her cry, but she just seems so broken. He can feel her ache. So he sits down there beside her and pulls her into a big hug, hoping it will help. ]

Save..? Rose, what are you talking about?

[He's always liked the candy corn more and thus been free of the candy heart curse, quite by accident, but when he heard about it, he took a handful to work and started trying to dissect how they worked. Figure out how the curses work, figure out how the deities' powers work? Figure out how to leave? Maybe?

For this reason his text reply comes 13 minutes after he initially hears the notification.]

Sorry. Work. Why?

[She's got all his pain from the time war. She's got his pain from his 'I am a god' stage. She's got Percy's pain and Cinna's concern. It's too much for her to stay upright. She latches onto him when he pulls her into the hug, grabbing handfuls of his shirt and burrowing as close to him as possible. The sobs come harder just because there's some sort of relief now that she can share this with someone else.]

It hurts so much.

[Words come out broken between her sobs.]

[Rose has been crying. A lot. Her voice probably reflects that. She's gotten control of herself now though.]

You were so...worried because--I didn't understand how--how clothes could save someone but you were so worried because...because you could save them. Did you? I don't know who it was but...did you?

Are you okay?

[She really wants to talk to him about this whole...whatever and she needs to give him a bit of a lecture over it as well and right now she's got his previous regeneration there making sure she doesn't fall apart. She can wait a little while to see him if he's busy.]

[Oh....] I like to think I did my part.

[That's a sigh of relief. At least one of the memories she had to experience had a happy ending.]

M'sorry. Didn't mean to pry. They're okay, right? You saved 'em?

As far as I know, yes.

Okay. That's good. That's brilliant. You're brilliant.

[She sounds almost happy to at least hear that. After a long moment she says something again.]

Would you--would you tell me about it or is it too...hard to talk 'bout?

The greater share of the difficulty and pain was never mine to bear, for all that I would if I could. But the story isn't truly mine to tell and I would betray my friend's confidences, even though they are no longer in the City.

Suffice it to say, some innocent and very good people were put in horrible positions and it was partially my job to see that they looked good enough to help.

[There's a slight pause.] And how about you, Rose? How are you faring?

I understand.

[She takes a deep breath, really considering his words.] I think your memory hurt the least. The others were...brutal.

You have heartache enough in your past, don't you?

Ah. Those hearts, then? I'm terribly sorry; I understand those can be - upsetting.

[ He lets her hold him. She can clutch as hard as she'd like, she won't really hurt him. He rocks her a little. ]

Just let it out, come on. Let it all go.

[That's not a weird random thing to ask at all, Rose. This reply comes much faster.]

Of course. Why?

[That's met with a moment of confusion before she answers.]

I guess...I guess so. Yeah. Mostly just...one heartache.

Yeah. Some of 'em I know who they're 'bout and some of 'em...not really.
