[Accidental Video] Backdate of Doom

[ooc: Please to be assuming this was posted accidentally yesterday sometime in the morning.]

[There's a hand that reaches out and picks up several candy hearts out of a dish. All the hearts go into the palm of the person's other hand then get picked up one by one as a voice reads the words out loud]

[There a pause as the hands turn the candy over and over a moment.]

Bit odd. [it's just a whisper and then there's a movement that could be a shrug before the hands disappear, presumably so the person can put the candy in her mouth. Several seconds pass and then fairly suddenly the person ends up sitting on the floor, her knees to her chest, tears streaming down her cheeks as she buries her face against her knees.]

Do without being intimidating? [He looks down at her.] With you, maybe, but that's pretty useful most of the time I still don't feel like fighting anybody. To many of them to lose them all anyway. But I like the new one. Put it out in front, yeah? See how they like that.

[She considers that a moment.] Guess it does make 'Rose, I'm comin' to get you' a bit less effective. On the other side, not on the me side. You don't even got to tell me that you're comin' to save me.

[Oh the biggest of smiles.] Don't know how they'll like it but m'thinkin' it's brilliant. Throw 'em off a bit. Make 'em underestimate you and then bam!

Maybe not but I doubt I'm going to stop doing it. [It makes him feel better when he's angry, to say it to her and know that she knows. Takes the desperation off, somehow.]

Oh yes! That's how you do it. Bumble about until you're too close and then everything you said. Underestimation is fun. Well, when they're doing it to me. When I'm the one doing it, not so much.

Think I can handle that. Rather not get in many situations where you've got to say it though. [That makes sense, sort of reassuring for both of them or something.]

S'not somethin' you seem to usually do. The underestimatin' I mean.

[He grins.] That'd make a nice change.

I do prefer not to make a habit of it. Tends to muck up the off-the-cuff planning when you have to come up with more.

[She sticks her tongue out at him and bumps him with her shoulder.]

S'xactly and there's usually not enough time for two off-the-cuff plans.

Well that's not in any way a reflection on my ability to think quickly or come up with plans on the spot. If anything it's indicative of the sheer impolite manner of lots of the people we seem to run into.

We do sorta run into a lot of rude people. Half of 'em want to kill us or destroy the universe or at very least the world. That's fairly rude if you ask me.

Very rude! Much more rude than anything I've ever done, and rudeness is practically one of my known personality traits. I'm starting to wonder if perhaps that's something that ought to be amended.

Amend your rudeness? [She gives him a mock surprised look.] What would I do without havin' to remind you that you're bein' rude?

[Have a look, Rose Tyler.] Yes, amend my rudeness. Completely what I meant. I don't know. You'd have to cope somehow; try to find some other vice of mine to fix. Can't imagine how you'd manage.

[She can't help giggle-snorting at the look. Now she's going to give him a look back, teasing, the tip of her tongue between her teeth.]

Perfect specimen of Time Lord lord-y-ness like you, can't imagine either.

[Well, the giggle is sort of worth it, so she's forgiven. He's just that gracious.]

Well I guess you'll just have to accept the rudeness then and leave it be. Sort of a... charming imperfection.
