[Mao has been sleeping a lot more than usual (even for a cat) since rebooting his brain; his body is still recovering from the trauma.

At the sound of Yin's voice, he cracks an eye open to look at her.]

The network seems to provide everything the City needs.

[She nods to Mao's response. His very answer is why she's so confused.]

But there is a man filming some of the fighters.

People will always be nosy. [Still, his tail twitches with curiosity.] Has he caught Hei?

[Catching Hei would be hard to do in the first place. But just in case, hence Yin already warned him.] No.

[And now she reaches out to pet Mao. Hand laying on his head, softly, barely there. She's still learning this petting thing, but after the scare when she arrived, she's willing to give it some effort.]

Good.

[And that's where Mao's concern for Hei's well-being ends. The other man can take care of himself, despite his idiosyncracies. Instead, he nuzzles Yin's hand. She's not very good at petting, but it's more than Hei ever offered (not that Mao really wanted Hei touching him... Shudder).

He curls up a little closer to her and goes back to dozing.]
