Well, I've certainly seen what you all meant about these so-called curses. It must be dreadfully difficult to get anything done around here, if you're not a dairy farmer.

[He shifts, leaning back slightly in his seat.]

So.. I suppose I've made the best of worse situations, but I am accustomed to having more in the way of resources. Unfortunately, I wasn't given the opportunity to pack before this delightful abduction. Which means, for the first time in quite a long time, I'm looking for a job.

A city of this size must have something more interesting than waiting tables to offer. I've always found a certain satisfaction in making myself of use.

So, tell me: [here, he leans forward again, clasping his hands in front pf him, elbows on the table,] what do you need, my fellow captives?

There always is. [ If you know how to ask. ] It's sort of unfortunate the City doesn't supply Citizens with resumes from home. [ Or fortunate. Espionage and assassination aren't professions so much as lifestyles. The type that terrify good, clean, law-abiding 'normies.' ]

That entirely depends on whether you're asking what the City needs as a deep existential question, or as a matter of mundane, every day issue.

I wouldn't be averse to starting something, though I'm hardly in a position to do so. I do have some small experience in that area, at least.
