action for cops/friends of charlie. threadjack away but let the cops work.
[Hey, City. Guess what? There's another body. This one belongs to one Charlie McGee and she is, of all places, in the fountain. As per the other bodies, she is dressed in clothing befitting the time period the killer seems to be taking inspiration from. There's an extra scrap of clothing floating near her, along with several flowers. Rosemary's, pansies, columbines, rue. Fennel, daisies and violets. Someone did their homework.
If someone wouldn't mind retrieving Charlie and notifying the police, that'd be super.]

It can't be, can't be HER.
It wouldn't be. It's water, she wouldn't be lying in a FOUNTAIN, and it's just...wrong.
A growl builds in his chest, something distraught, furious, and it feels like something's breaking inside. Not being torn away, like when he was here and Jerry wasn't, something's breaking, and the urge to make whoever did this hurt as badly as he does right now is nearly overwhelming.
Fountain first. Sniff around, their scent will linger. Then it's just a matter of finding them and tearing them limb from limb. Strewing their guts across the place to send a message that they're not to touch what's his.]
[icon conversation is go?]
[so much time spent just with ed after this. so much. hope he doesn't mind.][a-action?]
Nope. Not a mistake.
He does, however, see Ed. Ed, who looks rather like a vampire intent on killing someone.]
Ed? Hello?
[action!]
What.
[action!]
What are you doing?
[action!]
Growl, snarl. While he'd managed to mimic human movements while he looked human, he cares less when he's closer to demon, and cares even less now that he mostly just wants to tear things to pieces.
A sniff, a tilt of head as he evaluates. He needs to find who was here, separate the killer from everyone else, but there are just too damn many scents collected here.]
Tracking. Or trying to.
What are you doing?
[action!]
Unless you're a vampire. Vampires can probably do whatever they feel like doing.]
Is it difficult? Tracking?
[He hesitates. Mostly, he wanted to talk to Ed because Charlie talks to Ed and, if Charlie isn't there, it stands to reason that there will be no one for Ed to talk to. That sounds like a lonely and unfortunate state of affairs, even for a vampire.]
Talking to you.
[action!]
[Blink, and black eyes stare probingly.]
Why.
[action!]
[Way to be scary, Ed.]
Because you are upset, I am upset, and it is best not to be upset alone.
Re: [action!]
[it's more growl than words, a promise of pain and violence and death echoed in the malicious smirk and are you really sure you want to stick around for this, Chekov? He steps closer to the fountain, closer to the body but keeping his distance from her at the same time.
He has to separate one from the rest, but if he has to he'll track them all down one by one.]
[action!]
[There isn't much else to say without risking death-by-vengeful vampire (Chekov isn't a genius for nothing). He decides that it would be wisest to leave Ed to his own devices.]
I trust that you know where I live [across the hall from Charlie], should you need anything.
[action!]
[His head turns to sniff -- is that it? Maybe? He's not sure.
...And then a glance back to the kid (never mind that he's only a year younger). Are you still here, Chekov? Really?]
[action!]
