action for cops/friends of charlie. threadjack away but let the cops work.

[Hey, City. Guess what? There's another body. This one belongs to one Charlie McGee and she is, of all places, in the fountain. As per the other bodies, she is dressed in clothing befitting the time period the killer seems to be taking inspiration from. There's an extra scrap of clothing floating near her, along with several flowers. Rosemary's, pansies, columbines, rue. Fennel, daisies and violets. Someone did their homework.

If someone wouldn't mind retrieving Charlie and notifying the police, that'd be super.]

[ It's been a rough week, to say the least.

So, expecting to see Charlie? Drowned in the fountain? A - sort of close friend, just there... limp. -- Was not in her plans.

Immediately, she rushes over, bag dropping to the ground as she pulls Charlie to see if she's really dead. If she's not simply -- unconscious.

When she's sure that Charlie isn't breathing she sits back before grabbing for her phone in her back, Charlie in her lap. ]

There's - there's a body. In the fountain! It's... Charlie.

[There were already people surrounding the body when Ken walked by. He remembered his discussion about the murders with Justin, but all the same, the boy's curiosity got the better of him, worry in the pit of his stomach. There was something about the body from a distance that bothered him, not just the memories it unearthed of his brother, but something else.... Something bad. He couldn't stay distant from it, even though a voice in his head told him it was the smarter thing to do.

[He only got close enough to see it was, yes, Charlie, and he froze, completely, eyes wide and feeling sick. Conversation and everyone else disappeared. There was just a rush of white noise and Charlie and bad memories.]

So...those fuckers are gonna make it personal now? Just wait until I find them!

[You don't even have the mind for a detective, Setsuna. How are you going to find anyone? Doesn't matter to the really upset blond. He's sick of people dying on him, and Charlie was nice to him, dammit!

[He floats around to see if anyone strange is still hanging around, or leaving the scene quickly.]

[Doc spots the crowd when he makes his way through the square. Clearly, the gathering that's growing around the fountain is anything but a happy event. He actually spots Ken first, frozen in place; then, his eyes go to the fountain and he stops short in place himself, recognizing the body.

For a moment, he remains just as still, a couple of feet away, a grim frown on his face as his brow lowers and knots a bit. When he moves again, it's towards Ken. He stops a few paces away and speaks softly, cautiously.]

[He doesn't believe what he's seeing.

It can't be, can't be HER.

It wouldn't be. It's water, she wouldn't be lying in a FOUNTAIN, and it's just...wrong.

A growl builds in his chest, something distraught, furious, and it feels like something's breaking inside. Not being torn away, like when he was here and Jerry wasn't, something's breaking, and the urge to make whoever did this hurt as badly as he does right now is nearly overwhelming.

Fountain first. Sniff around, their scent will linger. Then it's just a matter of finding them and tearing them limb from limb. Strewing their guts across the place to send a message that they're not to touch what's his.]

[There had been a crowd gathering out by the fountain, and Rapunzel foolishly decided to go and see what was going on.

She'd heard that there was a killer in the City, and yes, she'd been scared, but she had trusted the police...

And all she can do is freeze and stare in horror upon seeing the body of one of her best friend's lying dead in the fountain. She stares for what seems like an eternity before the realization that Charlie is dead sets in.

And she screams, breaking down and sobbing. It's hard to breathe, everything hurts, she can't stay here but she can't move...]

[When she's gone? You can't count on that promise right now, Chekov. Even if he made it to her, all bets are off right now.

Growl, snarl. While he'd managed to mimic human movements while he looked human, he cares less when he's closer to demon, and cares even less now that he mostly just wants to tear things to pieces.

A sniff, a tilt of head as he evaluates. He needs to find who was here, separate the killer from everyone else, but there are just too damn many scents collected here.]

Unless you're a vampire. Vampires can probably do whatever they feel like doing.]

Is it difficult? Tracking?

[He hesitates. Mostly, he wanted to talk to Ed because Charlie talks to Ed and, if Charlie isn't there, it stands to reason that there will be no one for Ed to talk to. That sounds like a lonely and unfortunate state of affairs, even for a vampire.]
