[She thought she put a filter on, but in her state, she didn’t quite press the right buttons and this video gets broadcast to everyone.]

Tyr…

[Her voice is unstable, tears and sand streamed all over her face as she sniffs while letting out a few uncontrollable sobs. She’s trying to be strong for him, but it’s hard at this moment when it takes all of her energy to move, and her throat is tight and dry, making it difficult and painful to speak.]

Rita is…

[She can’t even complete the sentence before she starts crying again as she puts her hand over her mouth, accidentally inhaling some sand as she coughs.]

Rita is dead… it’s my fault… I should have been there.

[That’s all she can say before she ends the feed, unable to really face him and the guilt she feels for letting this happen.]

[It's fuzzy for a lot of it, but he can make out Estelle crying - his chest hurts at that, as she's so warm and caring - and he caught the words "Rita" and "dead". He's just going to stare at the device horrified for a bit.]

[ While he was running and trying to reach the Desert City as quickly as possible, he freezes immediately upon hearing Estelle say his name. The feeling of dread is too strong. Though the entire message plays - albeit distorted - he knows what she's going to say immediately.

He really, really should have known. A sort of numbness overcomes him as always, though tears still cover his face. ]

[ Nevermind, he doesn't want to show his face either and switches to audio only. At least the bad reception can be blamed for his voice sounding broken. ]
