[There's a pause here, Derek weighing his words carefully.] I know it can sometimes feel like you are. I've felt it. I'm pretty sure a lot of people have. But you're not alone.

Yeah, probably so. So where are you from, Eames?

Accent should have given it away. I'm originally from Chicago, more recently in the D.C. Area. You ever been to the U.S.?

It's quite all right, regional differences aren't an obvious thing to some - I could be from bloody South Africa, even. I have; all over, really, though not all the states - though I have been to both Washington D.C and Chicago.

One of these days I'm gonna go all over the world. Just go and keep on going. Someone I used to work with did that and I envy him sometimes.

It's an experience everyone should have, really. Take the year off and spend time really taking in the culture, not just going overseas to watch the tellie.

Oh, I don't know if I could take a whole year off. I like to keep really busy. But when I retire... if I ever retire... yeah, I'd spend my time doing that. Or at least a little bit of time.

[ He scoffs a bit. ] Very American of you, assuming traveling won't keep you busy enough.

Well if you do a lot of planning, I guess. You could make it busy enough.

Are you the type to think he'll be rather bored when he retires, as well?

Oh I'll find something to do. I flip houses on the side back home... could do that full time.

Because I should find better ways to keep busy?

Because you must learn how to relax and find enjoyment that doesn't require being a busybody to achieve.

I relax... sometimes. [Not really.] I go out for a beer or... dancing or something like that. I just don't relax to the point where there's... too much time to think.

It's like getting locked in a room with yourself with everything naked there for you to see, all the good the bad and the ugly... I'd rather do other things, wouldn't you?
