Some of these dragons are attacking, I need all hands now!

If you're part of the police force I need you up and out and getting people out of the way. Fire department too. I know we're stretching thin, guys, but we need to be out there right now-

Set up a perimeter if you see a dragon attack, first priority is to get all civilians out of there!

[HEY STEVE THAT SURE IS A BIG OL' (okay, well, maybe gazelle-sized) DRAGON SWOOPING ON DOWN AND REARING UP RIGHT THERE IN YOUR BLIND SPOT--

--which would really be a bit of a problem, except that along comes a Rather Large Tiger* hurtling out of nowhere to pounce on it and wrestle it down to the ground. THE TEMPORARY CAVALRY'S HERE, APPARENTLY?]

[He spins just as the tiger wrestles it down, and conk goes his shield on it's head. Luckily it seems to have not only disoriented it but made it pass out entirely, but now Steve is left with a tiger.

He's very, very careful.]

[Do normal tigers shake their heads "no" in a surprisingly humanlike gesture? Probably not. So that's one point in the direction of "not a zoo escapee".

Turning around once in a motion that'd look more at home on a housecat than on a tiger, she ends up finding herself at a loss for an easy way to explain, and opts to just sit like an obedient puppy instead.]

[She shakes her head again, pawing a bit at the ground in what might be frustration, and--

...well, that spell never did last a very long time. In a literal POOF! of pale gray smoke, the seated tiger abruptly changes back into the much more familiar sight of Rosella, a black rod that might just be a magic wand clasped in her hand.]

Oh, there, it--

[WHOOPS brb wobbling knees make it hard to stay standing, but she quickly catches herself.]

Oh--! Drat it all, I do hate that part. Are you all right, Steve?

[He steps forward to catch her, and his hand is on her stomach. She seems all right, but he definitely didn't expect that]

I'm fine, are you?

[She's pretty okay, all things considered, but that doesn't stop her from leaning gratefully against him for a minute, nonetheless.]

It just takes a bit out of one, that's all. But that's what it's for, that spell--when one needs to be quick and, er. Fierce, I suppose. That's why it doesn't last very long.

I do! I, er--well, there's a long version to it, of course, but the short one is that I learned it a long time ago for occasions just such as this. And what a good thing I did, too!

[She gives him a quick squeeze.]

I can't stay long, though. I've still got to track down a swan, yet.
