[ Clary's in the living room watching the small dragon curl it's tail around their coffee table. Glasses shake as it tugs but she's at least a foot away. They don't know if they're dangerous so she hasn't quite plucked up the courage to go anywhere near it.
It's a dragon though, and she can't keep the small tone of excitement out of her voice. ] Simon would flip for a thing like this. [ She doesn't often talk about people back home - hurts too much, but the amount of tabletop games she's played with her best friend, she can't help herself. ]
[Yes, they're totally not hiding behind furniture or anything as a tiny dragon waddles around all over their floor.] No, I think we've got a dragon in our living room, is what I think.
And do you know what dragons do, they spit fire. [A groan.] It's always fire.
[It's going to burn their couch. It's in no way cute, she takes naps on that couch; it took half her monthly salary to get that fucking couch. That couch is where she goes if she can hear the smallest hints that someone's making out in the other room. She loves that couch.
Dragon better behave.] It would be adorable if it didn't look at our couch like it's going to be its nest. [Pause.] Well I don't know about you, but in England, we've never had dragons.
[ She sounds like she's trying not to laugh, ducking back behind the bookcase when she sees the dragon swivel its head towards them. ] Should we try to get it outside?
[IT'S A MINI DRAGON, stop laughing at the fact that she's wary! She's faced down demons and ghouls and zombies, but there's something about a small animal that can burn your skin off that just - Mae doesn't like the idea of burning okay. Any fire that comes near her needs to be metaphorical and driven by passion.]
And set it free on innocents? What if it doesn't know how to fly? What if it does know how to fly?
I named mine. That's probably unwise but she's pretty adorable. She loves copying facial expressions.
[And on Charlie's shoulder is this little baby. The dragon scurries down Charlie's arm to investigate what Charlie is talking into and a moment later, the dragon is peering into the camera, sniffing it and trying to inspect Mae closely.]
[Affinity turns her head, making a loud shrieky-growling-babbling sound. She's trying to copy Mae. Charlie laughs slightly. Affinity also tries to mimic this.]
She attacked a bag of goldfish crackers earlier. It was quite useful in learning what she likes to eat. Which isn't crackers.
[Affinity does in fact start copying Mae. Charlie watches this for a moment before looking at Mae again.] Is your back okay? It sounds like Clary's likes you.
[And then as an afterthough;] Is your dragon a firebreather? Mine's...not. I'm a bit disappointed, oddly enough.
But - shoot them... [She has a thing where she only shoots zombies and ghouls out to get her nowadays. And it's not even her dragon.] Maybe thre are people in the City who know how to deal with dragons.

Maybe you're a Disney princess.
