[helsmaiden]

[The image opens as Leah tries to take an Instagram-style picture of her drink, but drunkenly mistakenly turns on video instead. There are several empty glasses in the background. As soon as she's satisfied with the shot, she puts her device down on the counter, video still recording.]

This was his favorite drink, you know. Well, not this. The regular kind. What did you say this kind was called again? A mudslide? How silly, there is no mud in it. One cannot drunk mud. Though I'd like to make him try for disappearing like this. Where has he gone without leaving word? How dare he leave me all alone like this?

Ah, it is so pathetic of me to complain so. See how pathetic he has made me? This is entirely his fault!

[There's a long, looong slurping noise as she seems to drink the whole glass in one go.] I like this mudslide. Barkeep, another!

Yes, but they're alcoholic and alcohol isn't a terribly safe experimentation at your age.

He never intends things, they just happen. He's the worst. [She's so in love with him. Slurrrp.]

Were you not once bound to a chair? [She giggles, because that was funny.]

[ Charles won't ask how her friend is the worst. ]

I was, once, but as you can see... [ Raises arms. ] That hasn't needed to happen since, I'm quite happy to say.

I...was behaving in a very strange manner and it was dangerous.

[helsmaiden]

[She's taken his advice and paid her tab, stumbling off her stool and out of the diner.]

I... am behaving oddly now. But I do not know if I am dangerous. [Hint: she's always dangerous.]

[ This is Charles, he expects the worst from exactly no one. ]

At the time, I wasn't aware I was behaving dangerously. That didn't come along until it wore off.

Where are you heading? Would you like some company?

[ Drunk teenagers, mortal or not, staggering around is not the sort of thing Charles thinks is good. ]
