[ VOICE ]
[From the sound of it, the angel has no idea he's being recorded.]
You know, it's not that I mind this City, exactly; it's less pleasant some days than others, to be sure, but all in all I can accept I'm meant to be here, whether or not I know why. Ineffability and all that. One gets used to it, after a time, and certainly I've had plenty of that.
Still, it is... well, between you and I, if I'm honest, it's a bit lonesome at the moment. My fault, really, for being a bit of a creature of habit. But I'm hardly accustomed to, er, these sort of comings and goings.
[There's a soft huff of breath which he will insist is not a sigh, and a faint rustling in the background.]
But, one never knows. I'd best keep you in some semblance of presentable shape, or I'll never hear the end of it if Crowley does come back.
[ooc; no inner monologue, so he's soliloquizing at Crowley's houseplants. between Crowley being out-on-hiatus and Dulcie leaving, sad angel is saaaad]

I expect that seems silly.

But that's merely an attempt to avoid the topic, isn't it.
voice;
Did you want to talk about the topic?
voice;
I don't particularly want to talk about it, but I don't seem to have much choice. I do feel a bit ridiculous, moping about and feeling lonesome.
voice;
Hey, moping and being lonely are never ridiculous. Do you need non-plant company?
voice;
Er, I'm not certain. It might do me good, really, to be out of the flat for a bit, but I doubt I'll manage to stop rambling. Curses, as I'm certain you're all too aware, tend to be difficult to overcome at best.
voice;
It's a pretty slow day at the Welcome Center if you want to swing by. I definitely don't mind a little rambling.

As for the Circus, I've always had a fondness for prestidigitation, so it seemed just as well. I used to do the same when Hatter ran the show.
[And he's still terrible.]
voice;
...Prestidigwhatnow?
voice;
Prestidigitation. Er, sleight of hand. Magic tricks-- strictly of the illusory variety, of course.
[Save the occasional mishap and miracle with a dove. But fixing one's mistakes hardly counts as a misuse of power... Right?]
voice;
Oh--right, of course. As long as you're having fun with what you're doing.
