You would think by now that I'd know better than to eat things labeled 'Betrayal', but I was curious to see if it was familiar to me. [Or, you know, actually hers. But it wasn't and she's not going to call out to the actual owner although the next time she sees Justin, she might give him a hug. Or not, that was a very worrisome memory to have.]

But I have to admit - the one called 'Art' certainly wasn't what I expected. If I could put a name to that one, I'd be calling the police. [There's a pause as she shudders. How is she supposed to sleep after that?] That was certainly not anything I'd call art.

Gods, if anyone has any pleasant memories they'd like to share, I'm certainly interested. I need something to... cleanse my palette.

Because this place... it's like a second chance for those of us that need it. For all the curses, all the chaos, I don't hate myself here like I did at home.

I didn't like what I did. My whole life was about death. I understood the necessity but... I don't think it's what I would have chosen. I never had a choice.

If you didn't have a choice, then you can't be held accountable for your actions. Only that which is done willingly and intentionally is condemnable.

Circumstances must always be taken into account, shouldn't they? I'm glad that there are so many here who get the second chances to do just that.

They should be taken into account. Their meaningfulness depends on the situation as a whole.

If only second chances could undo whatever was done with the first chance.
