Is it normal for so many people to show up so suddenly? I know people come and go a lot, but it feels like someone's just opened a gate somewhere and suddenly everyone's flooding into the City.

Is this a curse, or are we just lucky in having so many new people all at once?

Oh, really? That's a real shame, it's kind of exciting seeing everyone just showing up. Although maybe it's for the best, it does feel a little crowded.

I'm fairly confident that it's a curse. I've seen this happen before. It should end after the weekend.

That seems like a pretty dumb curse to me. Drag everyone here just to send them away again before they've even gotten a chance to see the place.

I think it's more a curse for us than for them. The last time this happened someone unpleasant came from my world and threatened friends of mine who couldn't protect themselves.

...Oh. Well if someone like that showed up, then it could potentially be a very nasty curse. I hope no one I know turns up, in that case - I didn't think about that before.

It is weird, but so far it's been a good kind of weird. Despite my inherent problems with the City, I'm actually kind of liking it here.

The technology's far more advanced to anything I'm used to. I think that's the main thing that keeps taking me by surprise, really. Well, that and these curses, and the idea that some people here genuinely have magic, I don't think I'll ever get used to that.
