For those of you that knew him, Percy Weasley's left the City.

Maybe he'll be back or maybe the lucky git's finally gone home. There's usually something more to say in these sorts of posts but I can't really think of anything.

But basically that means Weasley's Wizard Wheezes will be closed until further notice while things are shuffled around. Don't worry—we'll get back to stocking you lot with pranks and joke sweets in no time.

[He pauses, looking a bit confused.]

Yeah, he left me an envelope with a key 'n... I dunno. Guess he went home.

[Oh. Okay, video, she can do video. She looks more tired than upset at this point, anyway.]

I've got a key as well, and the deed. His note— [Didn't say much, but it was enough.] Well, he's definitely gone home. May as well get the shop up and running for him in case he comes back, right?

D'you have another job?

No, this is pretty much it. I mean, there're things I can do to make money, sure, but this is my steady job.

[Probably the only real steady job he's ever had.]

What about you?

I'm sorry Ginny.

Do you need anything?

I'm running another shop for a couple of friends who left... Merlin, well over a year ago, I suppose.

[AKA thank Godric for extra backup. She certainly looks relieved.]

This might work out loads better than I thought.

No, I'm alright. It's just how things are here.

You must be pretty damn busy -- what other shop do you run?

[He attempts a reassuring smile here.]

I'm willin' to do whatever it takes to keep this place open, though. I've really liked workin' here.

I'm very sorry, Ginny, even if this is a good thing for him. Would you like company...?

Hey--sorry to hear he's gone. He was a good guy, you know? Gave me a chance when I first got here and everything.

If he ever mentioned some goofball called Rory, that'd be me. I guess he thought enough of me to leave me a key and all.

[ He knows getting drunk isn't probably her coping method but fuck it, no one should be alone when you're entire family network disappears. So he just knocks on the door, paper bag and bottle tucked under his arm. ]

Passioné? It's a clothing boutique. [She never used to say words like boutique and then - ] A man named Cinna opened it up while he was here, it's got a salon and a coffee shop and everything. Kind of mad, not really my thing, but he was a friend, so.

[So she's grown to like it. But WWW is the family business.]

Well, you've probably got a better idea of how the joke shop runs than I do. I only ever stopped by to help.

I'm sure Bucky'll come banging on my door any second now.

[He did the same thing when Percy was captured by the circus, isn't this close enough?]

A clothin' boutique? Guess that explains why I haven't visited.

[He doesn't think they probably sell his very old fashioned suits there.]

I dunno, I guess I got a pretty good idea of how it runs. Percy taught me pretty well.

Well, Weasleys are good at that.

Hullo, Rory. I'm his sister. You like the Wheezes alright to stay on, then? I know taking on a shop's kind of a lot, even if we're all helping out.

[She's curled up on the sofa with her laptop when the knock sounds and though she knows exactly who it is before he even speaks, she doesn't go to move just yet. Ginny's used to people leaving, especially family, and the departure sits in her heart with a hollow ache—she can't find it in her to cry over it, not like when it was Fred (because he didn't have a life to return to), but still. It's never easy.

She shuts the computer and sets it on the coffee table, finally getting up to pad to the door on bare feet, taking a breath, pulling it open, flashing a quiet smile.]

I was wondering when you'd get here.

[But Jimmy, they could. Cinna designed for everything.]

You should stop by sometime. As for the Wheezes, you'll need magic to keep the products going they way they are. I could do that bit.

[He does need some more snazzy suits...]

Sure, I'll stop by sometime. 'n yeah, it'd be great if you could do that part, 'cause I sure ain't magic. Not even close.

Yeah, I like it fine--I like it a lot, even. And it's not just I don't have anywhere else to go. Yeah, I think I'd like to stay put rather than try to find a new job, but I like the place.

Sure, it'll be a lot of work, but it'll be worth it.

haven't punch anything in a while.

Well, I've been watching my brothers play around with their prank stuff for ages and I like potions. We shouldn't have to worry about the stock.

No magic in your world, then?

Nope, not one bit of it. At least, I don't think so. It'd be pretty useful if there was, but...

[He shrugs.]

Never thought I'd see magic until I ended up here.
