I'm sure. What kind of weapons are you looking for?

My friend, you mean? [ He's laughing, no point lying now, really. ] Swords, daggers, that kind of thing.

[recognize_an_opportunity]

Yeah, your friend. I guess the obvious suggestion would be the Underground. You find enough questionable people, they should be able to find you something.

[stelecharm]

You mean I've been here a few weeks and now I'm finding out there's an Underground? I don't suppose you've got directions.

[recognize_an_opportunity]

Sure. I can show you the way, if you want.

[stelecharm]

I'd appreciate it. I can take care of myself once I'm there.

Where are you at the moment?

[stelecharm]

Closer to City Solutions than anywhere.

[Several minutes later, he arrives.]

[ Jace jumps down from the wall where he was waiting, lands gracefully, and stuffs his hands into his pockets. ]

So, I guess since you're doing this for me, I should at least give you a name. [ Freeing a hand to hold it out. ] Jace.

[He's probably a lot shorter than Jace was expecting -- he always seems to surprise people with his height -- and he's just waiting for some flippant short comment as he shakes Jace's hand in return.]

[ Jace, still a growing boy, even if he likes to act like an adult that should be taken seriously, is definitely towering over him somewhat. ]

[He nods, smiling easily.]

What else is there to do around here?

I'll let you know when I've found something worth mentioning. [ He's been far too domesticated since he got here.

With an enthusiastic smile, lacking the usual coating of sarcasm. ] So, which way?

Right this way. You can always find your way to the Underground through the subway tunnels. It's like a maze down there, though, so I'd advise keeping track of where you're going.

[And he's off at a brisk pace, leading Jace towards the closest entrance he knows of.]

I'm good at following a trail, so it can't be too hard to make one I can retrace.

[ He keeps up the pace easily, walking at his side, but half a step back. ] How long have you been here?

Thirty-seven days.

[Of course he's kept track that precisely.]

And let me tell you, it's seemed a hell of a lot longer than that.

[stelecharm]

[ He gives him a look, as if to question the fact he knows to the day, but he doesn't comment; if he were here alone, he would no doubt do the same. ]

Yeah, you're not kidding. I've not been here that much longer and it's all action.
