Her ears flick back and forth before perking straight up, twitchy and excited.]

…Hello? Is this…communication machine working? I heard someone speaking from it before and thought I might try it for myself. This place is…really quite amazing. I have never traveled to a city like this. I’m quite sure this isn’t where I was, but it’s just as strange how I came to be here. And I have never seen machines quite like this before, either. It’s all so curious. I don’t know where to start first! I wonder if Saxa has already found her way out. Hopefully she’s doing better than I am. I may have turned myself around a time or two just trying to find where I am. I would dearly appreciate someone telling me how to go about finding someone here, if it's not much trouble.

I'm sorry for going on that way! It's just this place is nothing like I would have expected. I mean, the clocks only have twelve hours on them. I didn’t know that there were countries that used this kind of time-keeping anymore, but it must be very interesting. Why do you separate day into thirds? And the sun seems to move so quickly, it’s like the day is just flying by.

[Perhaps someone should step in before she continues to ramble about all the new things she's seen since she woke up by the fountain and spent the last hour wandering around looking at the buildings and whatever else she could. Or maybe someone might want to mention that there is something coming up behind her, an extremely pale girl with black hair that looks decidedly decomposed.]

What? Oh, no, I don't carry weapons. Well, unless you consider my paring knife, but really I only need my staff.

A staff is fine. As long as you know how to use it as a weapon.

It's not really her. It's a trick. A simulacra. It only looks like her but it's not.

[The ghoul does manage to cut her on the arm and Toul winces, but it's not deep enough to make her drop her staff.]

I have practiced with a staff in defending myself, but really, it's not meant for that. It's a mystical tool, not a weapon.

[Although if she does not have a choice, she'll do it.]

But you can still defend yourself if need be. That's the important thing here.

It's not alive! It'd be like killing a chair!

[ Diva had been watching the girl for a while, trailing behind her, smiling, curious. After all, it's not every day she sees something so cute. And she did have such a fondness for the young ones...

But, she doesn't hesitate too long. After all, she'd hate for some little nobody ghoul to take her prey. Brushing past Toul, she caressed a strand of hair and whispered. ] Something's creeping up behind you. You might want to run.

[Having someone come upon her so unexpectedly startles Toul a bit and she has to look at the girl, only to be distracted by the...very disturbing creature that is coming up behind her.]

Oh my goodness!

[And her next thought is to reach for the girl and pull her away from the ghoul.] Come on, it's getting closer! Do you know what it is?

[Maybe why the creature looks like someone Toul knows?]

[Finally she gives a nod because what else can she do.] All right. I--Well, I'll try. If she could hurt someone I guess I...well I can't let that happen.

[She's a bit nervous, but if he can stop the ghoul, she'll try to strike her. It's no different that if she was a rabid dog, isn't it? It's kind to do this than to let her remain this way.]
