[ Spider-Man stands on some rooftop or other, holding the camera in front of him as he speaks. ]

So City, I hear there are some Utlimates or Avengers-type people around. Are you guys active? 'Cause I'd like to join up. I'm a member back home, so--

[ There's a banging sound as the door to the roof clangs open, and an indistinct grumble of someone stepping out. ]

Hey, man, I'm kind of filming something here. I'll be gone in a minute.

[ From off screen, the other man speaks in a raspy and guttural voice, ]

You are just... like... me...

[ It's impossible to tell with the mask on, but Miles' expression is one of total terror. His posture goes rigid, shaking with fear. ]

No, no that's impossible....

RRAAAAAUGGHHHH!!!

[ The stranger rushes at Miles, tackling him and sending them both falling off the edge of the roof. As the device falls from Miles' grip, you get a glimpse of the man attacking him. He looks burnt to hell, and is wearing a head to toe skintight suit like Spider-Man, but is obviously much older. As bodies and device hit the ground, the feed cuts to black. ]

[ ooc: For reference, Miles is being attacked by his Uncle Aaron. ]

[Bruce's comm comes on automatically in response to mention of Avengers, drawing his attention to the post. He's rolling his eyes a little at "a member back home" but then things get crazy.]

Hey, kid, can you hear me? Where are you? I can send help.

[ The fall stunned both Miles and his attacker for a moment, and he blinks back into consciousness just as the voice sounds from his device. Unfortunately, so does Uncle Aaron.

He doesn't answer for a minute or two, not 'til he's got the undead Aaron securely wrapped in webbing and pinned to the wall. When he does respond, he's slightly out of breath. ]

I'm okay... I got him tied up. I don't get it though, he's not supposed to be here. [ Or alive, but Miles doesn't mention that. ]

None of us are really supposed to be here.

Yeah, but this guy really shouldn't be here.

He died, where I'm from. Man, he looks half-dead now.

[ Uncle Aaron just keeps struggling against the webbing and calling out "just like me" until Miles can't stand to hear it any more and shoots web over his face.

Taking a look at the network, there's something going on, it's not just you.

He's just irrationally violent?

Who are the avenger-types? Did they come save you?

They're superheros. And no, it happened kind of too fast for anybody to come, but I took care of him... sort of.
