[Chekov was conscious well before evening, but he can't for the life of him remember anything. Why is he in a hospital bed? What happened to his hand? Why does everything hurt? More importantly, perhaps, who typed the last entry on his network device and who replied to Lucy and Delacroix this morning?

It was him, of course, but scopolamine has a way of messing with memories. Pavel remembers a random jumble of things: fighting someone in a mask, Korra, watching trees breathe in the park...

In the hope that someone can fill him in, he grabs his network device and starts an audio recording.]

If there is anyone-- [He pauses to clear his throat. He sounds like he hasn't tried talking for days, even to his own ear.] If anyone can tell me what happened this weekend... I would be most appreciative.

[Well, would you look at the time. Just a few hours until midnight.]

Isaak, I am not sure how to answer that. I distinctly remember having conversations with tree-aliens, hacking into a cat's brain, and turning into a small mammal and digging a burrow underground. As none of these things could have happened and they fail to explain why I'm in a hospital bed, I think something must not be right.

[Uhura has been fussing over Chekov all day. She comes into the hospital room carrying a tray from the hospital cafeteria.]

Hey. How you feeling?

[Sorry, Uhura, but this is the first time that Chekov has been properly lucid. Considering how insane some of his memories are, he's not about to trust that any involving her are real.]

Korra called this morning. She said something happened last night and you were in the hospital.

[She sits down and squeezes his hand.]

[So something did happen with Korra. He squeezes back, somewhat belatedly. He's thinking.]

I don't know, Uhura. I have all of these memories and most of them are insane.

[Uhura may have heard some semi-coherent things earlier. Masks, mammals, cats, fights, kidnapping... Pavel has been out of it and not much he has said has made sense. He's legitimately upset about the situation. Getting hurt is no big deal--he's getting good at it--but this missing memory thing is out of hand. Maybe he is going crazy.]
